As soon as we got there a cup of tea was waiting & brewing away. Professional service, with a friendly welcoming smile, made us at ease right away. We off loaded the car and went and had our tea. Relaxed after the journey, we unpacked and started planning the day.

The breakfasts are 1st class, every morning. A great range of cooked food, cereals, croissants & jams & fruit juices, to get you started for your days ahead.

The room was very tidy, clean & cosy and felt 'right', complete with an ensuite (the shower was top notch). The room was made fresh everyday upon our return.

Westbury Lodge is about 5mins walk away from the Esplanade, right by the Cliff Lift that takes you down to beach level. Although we drove alot, while on the island, we were always shooting off to other places throughout the day. When we returned from a busy dau out we freshened up ready for a nice night out having dinner.

Westbury Lodge was a great experience, thanks to Pat & Dave. They really made us feel at home.

Will definitely return, when we pop back.

PS:
I actually forgot, to take home with me, a wardrobe full of shirts, Pat insisted she would post them back to me the next working day, FREE OF CHARGE! Quality,

thanks for that Pat

It was a perfect decision to stay at Westbury Lodge, it´s a beautiful house, close to the beach and the town centre and the bus stop, if you want to travel around, is just a minute away. Kath is a great help when you need and Dave is a perfect cook. Kath makes you feel welcome from the moment you step into her beautiful conservatory and lounge.
Everything was spotless.
Wa appreciated extra blankets and a bath robe which added to the luxury of the stay.
The room was spatial, bright and nicely furnished.
We definitely recommned Westbury Lodge for short or long stays. It really is a place which will make you feel at home.

We only wish the weather had been better :)

We arrived at the B & B late afternoon and had a lovely welcome from Kath, who made us a cup of tea and biscuits. The superior room was lovely, clean, decor and bedding spotless. There was a lounge and conservatory that guests can use anytime, the lounge having facilities to make drinks and folders with guides on places to visit and where to eat. It was lovely to have a note up in the room to inform guests that wine coolers were available, beach towels, place to dry clothes, iron and ironing board, etc. All you had to do was ask! The breakfast was first class. We had full english every morning and the eggs were spot on. (I'm very fussy about my eggs not even my husband gets it right everytime!!) It just seemed that nothing was too much trouble for them. We would book again without any hesitation. Shanklin is a lovely place to stay, I loved Old Shanklin best with its thatched cottages and live music Friday and Saturday in the pubs. We had a meal at Pendletons and would definately recommend this restaurant. Thank you Kath and Dave for your wonderful hospitallity. Mark & Andrea (Liss Forest, Hants)

I can honestly say I don't think we could have done better than our stay at Westbury Lodge. The proprieters were excellent at making it a very relaxing stay. From the warm welcome we recieved on arrival until the morning we departed every part of our stay was 5 out of 5.

They helped us booking up the Ferry, gave us some great local knowledge on the best places to eat and visit. Not only was our stay at the hotel impeccable, we got a lot more out of our stay thanks to the staff at Westbury Lodge.

The rooms were clean, with a good TV and the breakfast was first class. The location was perfect for Shanklin seafront and it was only a few minutes walk to all the towns shops, restaurants and the bus or train station.

We're always a little nervous about booking a hotel or B&B as we're a gay couple and it was never an issue during our stay at Westbury Lodge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends.

Kath and Dave give a very warm welcome. the rooms are spotless clean and very comfortable, we stayed in a superior double room which had lovely decor and was very comfortable with a huge comfortable bed and a lovely spacious bathroom. Kath and Dave also offer added extras which make a big difference, they are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is excellent and very well presented with lots of choice. The location is ideal for both Shanklin Old Village and the sea front Restaurants. We will definately be rcommending Westbury Lodge to friends and family, and we will be returning ourselves very soon.
