Absolutely superb place to stay. Breakfasts are exceptional. Rooms are beautiful and facilities for guests are first class. Dave & Kath are brilliant hosts and couldn't have been more helpful. They have thought of everything to make their guests confortable. If you're looking for somewhere to stay for a restful stay - don't hesitate. We will be going back!

Room Tip: All rooms en-suite and high standard. Some on ground floor if stairs are a problem.

From our arrival to our departure, everything was perfect. Kath and Dave are wonderful hosts and made myself and my husband feel very welcomed.

We have been to Isle of Wight many times, and until this year we have always gone via a coach company, which is convenient. This year we decided to make our own way there and stay in a b&b. From the reviews on here and also the fact that it is a short walk from both Shanklin High Street and the esplanade, Westbury Lodge was our first choice.

Rooms are well kept and comfortable, breakfasts are excellent and atmosphere very relaxed.

Would definately stay here again.

stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Dave and Kath were superb hosts and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. Having not been to the IoW before we didn't really know what to do or where to go . No problem because Kath took the time to tell us all we needed to know and had leaflets for all the tourist spots - she even booked the Ferry for us both ways. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were immaculate. Well worth the stay and very good value for money.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Westbury Lodge. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful. They seem to have thought of everything guests could possibly need. The breakfasts were delicious and gluten-free requirements were catered for. We highly recommend! :)

Kath and Dave are terrific. As I was travelling alone, I wanted to be able to dine in at nights and they allowed me to bring my food and eat in the dining room. The room was immaculate and comfortable. I loved the communal living areas with comfy chairs, tea and coffee on hand and was able to sit and enjoy a peaceful whisky at night (brought my own) and plan the next day or veg out with TV. Kath and Dave helped me out with travel advice and the lodge has plenty of informational brochures to assist. I did not hire a car but went by foot or public transport. I have decided next time I visit I will hire a vehicle although it was fine. More options to explore. Nearby are laundry, shops, seafront and gorgeous walks, eating places galore, shops. The station is definitely walkable but there are buses and taxis. I felt comfortable and welcome and loved the cleanliness of the place too. It has a great garden too.

We were warmly welcomed by Kath and Dave who offered us a drink and got us settled into our room, which was a standard double. The breakfasts were wonderful and there was plenty of choice; we made sure to order something different every morning to try as much as we could as everything on the menu sounded delicious! The room was wonderfully spacious and despite being on the ground floor close to the front door, was very peaceful. The room came with tea making facilities which we made full use of, as well as a TV, hot shower and soft fluffy towels. Our hosts went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and provided us with their own local knowledge of places of interest as well as an array of local restaurants and cafes within the town. They even offered us the option of letting those who were due to check out leave some luggage within the bed and breakfast after check-out time should they want to stay on the island for a few more hours and pick up at a later time. Definitely would recommend the B&B to those looking to stay in Shanklin.

Room Tip: Due to its close proximity to the shore overlooking the sea front, the B&B is situated on a smal...
