We had a wonderful 2-night stay. Lovely rooms that felt very spacious due to the high ceilings. Breakfast was awesome and there certainly was plenty of it, so enough to keep you going on a busy day!
Thanks also to Mark and Stella for great advice on where to go on our last day - we had such a great time!

Can't really fault this place, very friendly and warm , it certainly needed to be as it was freeeeezing outside! Mark and Stella are certainly the right people for the job unlike many B and B's. Good value for a stay of four nights or longer.

having travelled to ventnor for our daughters 30th birthday we stayed here at victoria mount guest house and I can tell you this was an extremely pleasant 3 night stay. From start to end nothing was to much trouble, both Mark and stella the owners of this establishment went that extra mile to make our stay perfect in every way ,it was if we were part of there family.
I would recommend this establishment as a base for anyone who wishes to explore the island, the accomadation is second to non and the breakfast ! well go try it out you will not be disapointed we certainly were not and will be staying there again

...and we have stayed at quite a few. We have stayed at four star hotels that didn't have the attention to detail of this lovely guesthouse. Although the guesthouse is lovely and the location is great and the breakfast totally fabulous, the thing that really made it for us was the owners. They could not have been kinder or more helpful. We were very surprised to read the negative review here entitled 'overpriced'. Can't imagine where the author is used to going and certainly can't understand his description of the delightful couple who run the Victoria Mount. On arrival my husband was asked if he would like brown or white bread with his breakfast, when he replied white, Stella said, 'I will bake you a white loaf then'! Definitely a first. The bacon and sausages were incredible and from the town butcher, the real (not tinned thank heavens) tomatoes and gorgeous mushrooms were also locally sourced. We not only had a fridge in our room (which was totally silent) but there was fresh milk and a Tassimo type machine for making great coffee, tea & hot chocolate. All the furniture was matching, great effort had been put into style and colour scheme and it was spotless. Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: We had the slightly cheaper rear bedroom, which was great, but we had a look at the front room with the balcony which would be wonderful.

A two-night stay at Victoria Mount left my other half and myself feeling as if we'd had a much longer break as we left feeling so relaxed and chilled out. The room was light, spacious and airy (and included a balcony which gave us extra space), the Tassimo coffee/tea/hot chocolate gizmo was an unexpected treat, the bed was outrageously comfortable and the welcome afforded by hosts Stella and Mark could not have been more welcoming. Victoria Mount is a wonderful house with lots of character and a short walk from the town centre. When we next visit the Isle of Wight, we shall definitely be staying at Victoria Mount again. I am not one for a full cooked English breakfast so it was great to have one of Mark's special 'continentals' where you are served a very delicious selection of cheeses and hams along with a fresh fruit salad - with not a tinned grapefruit or, perish the thought, a tinned prune, in sight. I don't know where the previous reviewer stayed because it certainly wasn't wasn't the Vicoria Mount we stayed in...
