Description: We are proud to work with a dedicated team of local Island Suppliers. Our meat is sourced from local farms such as Kemphill and Dunsbury by Island Foods Butchers. Our vegetable supplier "5 a day" is based in Ventnor High Street who works with an array of local farmers.. All produce is local and seasonal wherever possible, some grown in Ventnor itself. The majority of our fish is caught and supplied by Ventnor Haven Fishery, mostly caught the morning it arrives on your plate. Our mussels are rope grown in the River Exe, Devon. All our dry goods are supplied by the Island company Medina Foods. Gourmet Mushrooms are grown on the Island, as well as the tastiest tomatoes courtesy of The Tomato Stall. Our wines are supplied by Majestic Wines based in Wootton, giving us a diverse range of quality wines for your enjoyment. Locally baked bread comes from Sarah's House on Ventnor High Street. Thank you for making our chef's job that little bit easier!

Booked for the Saturday evening on Saturday afternoon, luckily they could fit us in. While we were there several couples were turned away as it is quite a small palace so booking is probably essential.

The food was lovely and tasted great. We had the tempura king prawns and pork kebab for starters, lamb cutlets and porchetta both with sweet potato and salad, all of which were very tasty.

Would recommend :)

My daughter and I visited on a busy Saturday evening. They were fully booked but they kindly managed to squeeze us in for dinner and even though a last minute booking we still had a nice table.

My daughter had wanted to come her as earlier in the day she had checked the menu and saw that banoffee pie was on it. she was fixed upon this particular dish as she has for a while been unable to eat dairy so this would be a one-off naughty treat. We had delicious main courses and the staff were friendly and attentive but when it came to dessert the banoffee pie wasn't on the list. The lovely chef came out the restaurant to ask diners if they were enjoying the meals and we joked that there was no banoffee pie. To our delight he actually went back to the kitchen and made one specially for her. It really made her evening. Sometimes it's the little touches that can make for a great dining experience an this one of them. Thoroughly recommend them.

Having just arrived in Ventnor for the first time it was great to see an imposing building on the high street as the location for our dinner for our one night in town. This was a seminal meal for my partner and our 10 year old nephew as it was as comfortable for him to be dining until nearly 11pm as it was for us - the staff were attentive and the food was excellent - proof that we relaxed and enjoyed 3 full courses with wine. The Barolo may be £33 a pop but it's great. Highly recommend the steaks (both sirloin and ribeye) and the garlic flat bread with pesto appetizer makes a great kids' starter. Go..enjoy..smile as you leave!

Our second visit to Philleas Foggs - had been meaning to come back since our first lovely visit towards the end of 2013.

We weren't disappointed. Friendly service and delicious food - locally sourced and served fresh and hot. Asked for a couple of changed to a meal and happily accommodated this. Enjoyed a glass of their homemade lemonade on a wall day.

Thoroughly recommend Philleas to anybody who hasn't yet been for a meal!!
