“Fantastic Day!”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

Black Gang Chine is fantastic for all ages! My son loved the dinosaurs. Lots to do for boys and girls. Loads of play areas, things to see and do. Lots of places to eat and drink. Great day! A must do in the Isle of Wight!

“Here's hoping it slips into the sea!”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

This place is a carbuncle on the side of the Isle of White. For some reason my kids like it and I was talked into going again. I was promised that it was better and to a degree it was. The new dinosaur attraction is an improvement on the unconvincing fibreglass rubbish that was there before but the rest of it is still run down and tacky. It is also ridiculously overpriced. I can only think that those who gave it a 5 rating were on an attraction by the same name in a parallel universe. Save your money and go to the beach.

“A little taste of the past”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

We arrived in torrential rain and spent the day very wet... but all enjoyed our time here! A 5 and 9 year old loved the roller coaster and water slide... particularly the lack of queues due to the weather!! Area 5 is cool!! Food is expensive... a little warning! Oh, and it's hilly!

“Expensive and Overrated!”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

Revisited Blackgang Chine after 12 years and can honestly say that apart from Area 5 dinosaur models and the huge rise in entrance charge nothing had really changed and was extremely disappointing with many of the attractions in need of some TLC. Don’t think the cowboy village had seen a lick of paint since my visit all those years ago with the model horses look fit for the knacker’s yard.
I also find it strange that so many people say how easy it is to walk around as my observations showed narrow paths with steep climbs between attractions and most definitely not suited to for disabled people or parents with large push chairs.
I also strongly suggest that you take your own picnic with you as the range of food being sold is as per all theme parks expensive and of poor quality being served by robotic bad mannered staff, perhaps the owners of Blackgang could replace them with the smaller dinosaurs from Area 5!

“Fab day out for all ages”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

A large group of us went here ages 6-71 & everyone enjoyed themselves. The 6 year old particularly liked the new dinosaurs, everyone loved snakes & ladders & the cowboys. Most of us loved the roller coaster & water slides. And the older ones really enjoyed the cinema with trip around the island. Even better our ticket lasted 7 days so we went back for a second time.
