Great location. Excellent, attentive service. Delightful menu. Comfortable, clean facilities. Ideal for a relaxing break in splendid surroundings. must be fantastic in the summer with its gardens, swimming pool and proximity to Ventnor esplanade.

The Royal lives up to its name in every way you certainly get the royal treatment. The breakfasts are especially good. There was lots of choice on the menu and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed overnight, visiting the Island for the sad occasion of a very dear aunt's funeral. This hotel provided a reassuringly warm and comfortable place to stay. It is an elegant traditional Victorian hotel, which has 21st century comforts. The staff are friendly, efficient, and in general we could say that they do everything very well.

This hotel has the charm of being in a wonderful spot with attentive staff and great food. the whole place is beautifully maintained and has old world excellence, which one rarely finds in this world of extreme rushing and packing in too much daily. Walk down to the beach only 5/10 mins depending on your legs fitness

Saturday Set Menu lunch, started with a glass of Prossecco whilst checking out the menu.
We started with Galleybagger Cheese Soufflés which rehabs could have even more "cheesey"
Mains of Monkfish with put lentils and Vegetarian gnocchi with vegetables. A bottle of reasonable French Rose accompanied lunch. Finished with a cafetiere of coffee.
