My wife and I have just spent 7 days at Harbour View Hotel, now St Augustines Villa,as it was her 60th birthday. We have previously been to Ventnor, some 20 years ago.
Everything was just perfect. Bob and Esme provide a very relaxed sevice and have created an atmosphere to match. The breakfasts are excellent and we really did not need to eat again until evening. The location is one of the best in Ventnor and our large well furnished room had two windows looking out to sea. The bed was so comfortable that we would not have got up if it was not for the breakfasts!.It will soon be our 40th wedding anniversary and if it is at all possible,we will return to St Augustines Villa to celebrate again.

We had a couple of nights to celebrate our anniversary and stayed in the top room with fantastic sea views. Loved Ventnor and the island, and had a really lovely time.Recommended highly.

Comfortable sea view room overlooking the front. Excellent breakfasts with a good choice that set you up for the day.

Bob and Esme create a laid back atmosphere but are on hand if required.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

What lovely accommodation and a very welcoming stay! Excellent superior sea-view room with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! We ate breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the sea in a very relaxing atmosphere. Would definetely return.

This large Victorian house on the seafront is ideally situated and has wonderful views from the bedrooms. The charms of the old house together with the laid back Bob and Esme create an almost soporific atmosphere and provides a perfect escape from the rat race on the mainland - stay here for two-three nights and it feels like you've been away a week.
This is not to say that the owners have not got everything buttoned up - it is efficiently run and they cook amazing breakfasts served in the conservatory looking out to sea. Needless to say, no rushing down to breakfast here - they are served until 10 a.m.
There is nothing much else to say about the Harbour View - large rooms, comfortable beds, friendly proprietors. A perfect place for doing nothing.
