This train service is a great living museum. It's kept alive running on a glorious scenic railway line from Douglas to Port Erin. It's loved by young and old for disabled travellers it is a little difficult to get on the train but the staff are very friendly and will help you get on board. There is two excellent cafés one at each end of the line. The biggest set back is you can always tell when someone has been on the the old train is their face is covered in black spots from the soot of the steam engine. This may be an old fashioned form of transport but they keep up with modern themes. At certain times of the year the railway offers various themed events and are great fun. The Restraunt cars have been recently refurbished and you can now enjoy a dining experience. Excellent parking and easy access is available at either end, with a small but interesting museum at the port Erin end of the track. This is one tourist event highly recommend as it appeals to all.
