Have stayed here a number of times and have always been pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Parking can be a problem at times as there is no off road parking but this is the same for most of the hotels on the promenade. I have always found the staff very friendly and most helpful. I am sure that I will be back again.

A great hotel well positioned ,staff and cleanliness very high standard in fact the buffet meals are so good you had better park your car a few miles away to burn off the calories.Thats my only windge this hotel does not have a car park so a daily lotto ensues to find a slot.Other than this tiny grip the Hotel is worthy of the praise it gets .

First impressions; outside imposing position in centre of promenade; not best pleased as after four of us had been travelling for the best part of six hours we were denied access to our room.
However we settled down in the comfortable bar and at 3 o'clock were allowed to register. I have to say that apart from this initial negative every one of the staff were friendly and helpful both above stairs and below in the basement breakfast room. The hotel was busy and somewhat noisy at the weekend with large groups and wedding parties but good atmosphere nevertheless but very quiet on the Monday and Tuesday. Our room on the second floor was more than adequate, clean, well appointed and quiet facing the inner courtyard. Breakfast in the basement was buffet service well controlled and comprehensive with items being well replenished. On the fourth day I had porridge and manx kippers cooked to individual order ar no extra charge. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to sit in the conservatory front with a pint of Okells overlooking the Irish Sea. Very helpful receptionist on our last day who gladly stored our luggage until needed for our afternoon flifht and gave us porterage down the steps to street level.

Room Tip: Room 204 twin/ double faced inner coutyard and was very quiet.

It is what it is, looks a little tired and stuck in the 1990's, the dining room has the look of Butlins in the 1950's about it.
But the Staff were mostly friendly and helpful, though some of the Bar staff could do with being trained in how to serve people, Rude and sullen seemed to be the order of the day !
Room was clean and well appointed, but the spare pillow smelled of stale tobacco for some reason, it had not seen a laundry in many a long day.

This hotel is on the promenade and has a lovely conservatory restaurant and bar overlooking the sea. The rooms are not luxurious but are clean and have everything that you need. The staff are mostly Eastern European and courteous and helpful. The standard of the food in both the buffet and the main restaurant is very good indeed and as a result we ate in the hotel for three out of four nights. There is a lot to do in Douglas and with the excellent public transport, it is easy to get to the rest of the island. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Have stayed in this hotel on business twice recently - both times I had a sea view room, the first time I had a suite. The hotel is well placed on the promenade, and affords great views across the promenade. Close enough to walk to town, but far enough out of the limelight - there's lots of stairs in an around the building, so not sure it would be good for disabled guests.
The rooms are a little dated, but clean and functional - decent shower, but toilet roll holders almost on the floor. Some rooms have poor provision of electric sockets, and the TV picture is not great. Good bar, and very good restaurant - the food is actually pretty spectacular - had both fish and streak, both were well made and presented. Good breakfast too. Not sure I'd want to stay there for a week, but for the odd couple of nights, it's perfect :)

Me and my boyfriend and 4 other friends recently went to this hotel for the darts competition nearby. We got a ferry which meant that we would need an early check in at 7.30am, which was agreed on the phone would be fine. When we arrived only 2 of the bedrooms were ready while mine was not. The receptionist was rude and said that we would have to wait 8 hours until the other people checked out! After a bit of waiting in the receptionist area, he said that he would try and find us a room. When he found us one we took all outlr luggage up to the third floor to find tat the room had not been cleaned. We wnt back downstairs and told him we were not happy. He then told us to have breakfast while he found us another. ( we had to pay £10 per breakfast and had obviously been out for a while since the eggs were hard). When we finally got to our room it was extremly small and was boiling at night,. We wont be going again.

(By the way this is my first review on tripadvisor showing how angry and upset I was at the hotel)
