“FRIENDLY HOTEL”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

stayed at this hotel 20 times in last 8 months (business trips ) staff very friendly, rooms clean & tidy, bar food excellent, highly recommend the carvery, nice pool/gym can be very busy & noisey at weekends.

Room Tip: if you don/t mind the sound of the sea the balcony rooms are best.

A tired hotel that has clealy been through several sets of owners. The see view rooms are small but clean and their recent refurbish makes them feel like a travelodge room i.e. clean and functional. OK for a couple of nights but you'd not want to stay any longer.

Room Tip: Sea view on the 4th floor.

Just got back from the palace hotel in the isle of man the hotel was lovely once in side as the entrance is at the back on the carpark it looks quite grim which if i was just walking around looking for sum where to stay i would not have bothered with it however once inside it is lovely staff are very helpful and everywhere is clean the rooms are a bit small and the outlook on to the carpark is not the best. However the food is lovely breakfast was fab and the evening meals are great and well priced I would go back again just one tip would be form the entrance to be a bit more inviting

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view otherwise you end up looking at the carpark

Stayed here in February and paid £75 per night with breakfast included. It was a nice, friendly hotel and good value for what we got. I wouldn't hesitate staying here and will look to stay here on future visits to IoM.

Room Tip: I stayed on first floor overlooking the promenade. Colleagues of mine on 4th floor complained of noi...

Stayed 3 nights on a short break to the Isle of Man. The whole island has seen better times, and this hotel (one of the few not in a Victorian building) is a slightly tired looking 1960s block. However, inside was clean enough, and our room was very well presented and comfortable. Rooms area bit on the small side for this grade of hotel, but contained everything we wanted. Staff (mainly from Eastern Europe) were very efficient and hard working, though a bit formal, perhaps to be expected in a hotel which mainly is geared to the business traveller. We had one very good meal in the bar, and good selections at breakfast. There is a casino which we did not try, but the swmming pool and fitness centre are definitely up to date and one of the hotels best assets.

We chose this hotel mainly because of the ample car parking. It is a brisk 15 minute walk into town along the promenade - something to bear in mind if you have not got your own transport. But there are regular buses from the entrance. Overall, we are pleased with our choice.

Room Tip: As everyone else says, pay extra for a seaview room!

If you are looking for a realxed atmosphere in a clean and comfortable enviroment then the Palace is the place for you.
The staff are all really friendly and made me feel right at home.
The entertainment in the hotel nightclub is "unique" to say the least but gets every one up and dancing.
The rooms have every thing you could need and are clean.

Room Tip: Book a sea view and wake up to the most amazing scenery!
