Our crew of seven sailed into the harbour in the early hours of last Saturday morning and by noon we were more than ready for a meal. We strolled along the North Quay in the sunshine and looked at all the places to eat. A smartly attired man sitting at a table in the outside dining area at the 14 North, saw us looking in and told us that he ate there regularly and highly recommended the place. We pushed a couple of tables together and were soon being looked after by a well turned out attentive waiter and waitress. The fact that it was a warm and sunny day made our lunch a very memorable and pleasurable experience. The wine was excellent, the food was spot on and we all hugely enjoyed the couple of hours that we spent at 14 North, a restaurant that is a great asset to the Isle of Man. The experience left us with a very good impression of the island and we all hope that we will be able to return one day.
