“Rip off prices”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Went into Douglas to meet up with friends during TT race week, they had booked a table for the nine of us. First shock was the price of the drinks £4.50 for a can of strongbow cider, nearly five pounds for a pint of lager. I was so outraged I had a glass of tap water ( never done that before)! The next shock was the price of the food £8 for special fried rice which was a small portion of bland fried rice with a few pieces of ham and some egg thrown in. This is the only time I've ever felt ripped off whilst on the island. Absolutely disgusted. I believe in giving credit where it's due the prawn crackers were crisp if cold, the waitress was polite and the service was quick. However the young man serving had a face like a smacked behind most of the time. Perhaps he left his robbers mask at home and is expecting to see himself on crime watch! I know during the TT you can expect to pay a little more but I would recommend you go somewhere else ( like the little take away near the gaiety theatre which did us a tasty hot mixed meat curry fried rice for under seven pounds) and get a decent meal at a fair price and give this rip off a miss.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

Although the service was good (special mention to the young waitress) the food was bland bland bland....and very overpriced for what it was. Very disappointed in the quality and flavour of food...maybe this was because its TT week?? Dont think we'll be back!

“A bit of a whine!”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Food great. Service good. Strange room layouts but OK. Big problem was the price of the wine. £28 for a bottle of average NZ Savignon Blanc TWENTY EIGHT POUNDS!!. Change this (exact same wine is £20 at Laughing Buddha) and we might come back. Mongolian lamb is recomended
