What can one say? Having heard good reports about The Welbeck my husband and I decided that we just had to go and pay a visit. The first time we went with friends and we have been quite a few times since. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Excellent service. We only went for drinks each time, but having looked at the menu will definitely go for a meal.

Room Tip: I can only go by the website and from what I have heard from others that the rooms are top class jus...

I stayed for a week as part of a walking group and was not disappointed in any way. This family run hotel was my 'home' in every sense of the word during the week. My room on the 4th floor had views to the sea, had a very comfy double bed, a sofa, fridge, ensuite bathroom and excellent lighting for reading, and doing my make up at the dressing table etc. Plenty of fluffy towels, and a well stocked hospitality tray. The restaurant was very light and airy and the food delicious and plentiful- I really do not know how they managed all the choices for dinner- excellent quality food. All the staff were extremely polite and professional and were helpful at all times,
I would definitely go back there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room high up with sea views

The hotel gave us a big welcome when we arrived and we knew that this was going to be somewhere lovely to stay! Their location is central, just slightly off the main beach front. The rooms are spacious and well looked after (thanks for the upgrade to the apartment rooms). Breakfast was included for us, and with a nice selection of things, including Manx Kippers.

On our Saturday night it was quite nice to return to the room and just watch the view of the beachfront.

Even when we checked out the staff very politely offered to let us 'hang' around if we had nothing to do. But we were on Manx, so of course we did :)

Friendly and welcoming staff, beautiful spacious and clean room, good food (best scrambled eggs I have had). The hotel is also very quiet being on a side street. What more could you ask for. Will definitely stay there again.

Visited with a chioir from South Wales. Quite a crowd of us but we were looked after beautifully.
Rooms were well appointed and staff superb.
Excellent food and a good dinner menu. The main feature however was the breakfast and particularly the stunning Manx kippers,
A short but very enjoyable stay.
