“Great evening!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2012

Kids loved going on the railway on a sunny July evening having walked along the track earlier in the week. Staff really accommodating and plenty of people around for assistance. We were glad to board at Lime Kiln Halt as there is quite a walk from Groudle Glen carparking to station.

“Groudle Glen Railway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2012

What a brilliant day out visiting the Glen with the waterwheel, then onward to the Steam Railway built in 1886. In 1982 it was reopened by volunteers and celebrates its 30th birthday this year with its shop, cafe and lovely up hill scenic journey by steam to the sealion rocks, where once there used to be a zoo with sealions and polar bears. A brilliant day out for everyone. Give it a visit if you haven't already managed.
