If you visit Douglas you just have to take a horse drawn tram down the sea front.

It's an icon of the Isle of Man and everyone should try this.

It’s great to see the horses pulling the trams along. Also great to read how well they are looked after, only doing a couple of hours work a day and that the island provides a retirement home for them after a few years’ service.

We took the horse drawn tram on the last day of the season before they retire for the winter months.

Superb to see something like this still bringing in the tourists.

Wonderfully nostalgic trip along the front of Douglas in a tram drawn by wonderful and very well cared for horses. A real must for any visitor and a fantastic sight. Im a resident and I love riding on and supporting the trams- use them or lose them folks

“Horse tram”

A novel attraction but relatively expensive.and tends to get busy in the morning going to the Electric Railway. Only a bit quicker than walking.
