The oldest working horse tram in the world is included if you purchase the island-wide travel pass. It's nice if you are tired or running a bit late to catch the train or the tram or a bus. Just flag down the driver and hop on. One of the gorgeous, well loved and well looked after horses will pull you to your destination.

Every visitor should ride the horse tram. It is a lovely way to travel.

I brought the season tickets from the town hall and my 5 year old loves visiting regularly to try and get stamps for all the horses. Its a lovely round trip and perfect for both my 5 year old and 9 month old with free parking at the electric railway end its a relaxing way to get into town and back. Love the spare trams to sit/play on while we wait.

I went on this delightful trip whilst staying at the Sefton Hotel. the pick up points are clearly marked on the promenade outside. The horses only do one run adn are then rested. They do two a day. When they are too old to work, they are retired into a horsey residential home which you can also visit. A lot of fun.
