Went to the Horse & Plough for the first time last night to check it out as we had heard that it has had a makeover. We found discovered a nice chilled vibe with friendly, attentive and very competent staff. We ordered the burger and the tandorri chicken dish as main meals. Both meals were superb and so so so tasty. £25 for 2 main meals, a portion of fries & 2 alcoholic drinks. Very happy customers we were. We eat out on the island usually more than twice a week and have tried most places (most being overpriced and / or overpriced) It makes such a gorgeous change to go to a place on the island where the food is both tasty and value for money with staff who really make you feel like they want to be there. Keep it up guys. We will be back!

Seriously, the burger is the best I had!! The wife had fish and chips, fresh chips too not frozen!!

DO NOT listen to the poor reviews, just sad people that enjoy complaining... You know the type, anything to get a free meal...

We waited 20 mins, the place was busy but unlike some, we don;t mind waiting 20 mins for a fresh meal.

Those that complain need to go somewhere else where the food is frozen and with you in 10 mins!!! Good food takes time!

Amazing Food, Great Value, Beautiful Surroundings!

What more can you ask for 10/10.

we have tried eating here last week after a recommendation.
the pub has had a makeover and looks great.
we sat in the sunroom at the back, it is a lovely bright eating space.
we had fish and chips and the chips were homemade which is a nice change from frozen.
good value, we will be back.
