“A gem in Douglas”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

A fantastic place, superb bakery with some of the best bread I have ever eaten, very friendly and well worth a visit. Their sandwiches are huge and make a great picnic.

“Quick tasty lunch”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Bohemia at its best. This artisan bakery is going from strength to strength. it has an easy, industrial feel to its decor, and a laid back, friendly service. No need for smart uniformity here - the food punches well above its weight, and does the job well. We had Parma ham, Mozarella and tomato focaccia, a green tea and a flat white. Food was excellent - the flat white was OK (probably need a bit more barista flair in there) and the green tea was very good. Total cost was about £13.00 for two. I'll be back

“Okay”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 via mobile

Visited twice in a week for breakfast. Found two hairs in my poached egg, which was really off putting. Couldn't figure out who was in charge, didn't complain for this reason. Second time we waited 10 minutes for our coffee to arrive and it wasn't even busy. The floor was swept around us, leaving a massive pile of flour right in the middle of the floor for around 10 minutes. Paid £2 for each homemade croissant -which were really soft and moist on the inside and crunchy on the out side but the plain one was very PLAIN and the chocolate one should have contained more chocolate. Also felt cold in there

“Fantastic sourdough bread and great breakfasts!”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

I recommend NOA Bakery to everyone I can. We have waited many years on the island for a fabulous bakery, and this is it.
There is a wide selection of breads from white sourdough, mixed seed, spelt, brown and great baguettes. Focaccia breads also feature together with home made cakes.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to ensure all visitors both to the bakery and the island are enjoying their visit.
Breakfasts are historic with several choices. Lovely sourdough toast with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon: with butter and jam: poached eggs, bacon butties, porridge with fresh berries and honey. Muesli and milk feature too but Jackie and the other staff will pretty much put together whatever you fancy to eat.
Great coffee and a wide selection of herbal teas are also available.
Prices are excellent with porridge only £2 and coffees and teas are also well priced.
The space is very cool and upbeat with mismatched chairs, plenty of space and a large area for children to play happily, tucked away .
Monday is "vinyl" day with an eclectic mix of sounds. Different exhibitions are held and the whole atmosphere is vibrant.
Miles runs a happy business with well-motivated staff who care deeply about what they provide.
A credit to all his hard work.

“Amazing bakehouse”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

Bought wholemeal sourdough bread - absolutely amazing.
Went for coffee and cake the next day, even better - great coffee, superb brownies and plum tart.
The best in the Isle of Man.
