Just come back from a week on the IOM for a week of the TT races.
We stayed here last year, and, as then, staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. We had the same room - 216 as it was of a good size with twin beds. Tip - this room as with others at the rear are within earshot of the kitchen extractor fan which comes on at about 6am. We slept with bedroom windows shut, but with the (decent sized) en suite window open, which was fine.
During TT week, they have a good value menu, limited to 3 items, all well cooked.
There is no on site parking, but street parking is readily available.
Our stays on the IOM have overlapped TT week by a day, and even after 1 day, the vibe of the island changes, but even in more normal times(!) this is a good hotel at the price.

Very comfortable, spacious and clean room, looks as though it has been refurbished. I was at the back in a really large single room which had everything you could possibly wish for in a room. The dining room was a little cramped and the large round tables too big because if you lent on the table to cut your food the whole table dipped towards you. The hot plates lived up to their name and the food was very good (maybe a bit bland though) and a little more variety would have helped. Having said that I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: I was on the third floor over the a/c unit. Noisy with the window open but I shut it to sleep and wa...

We stayed here for four nights beginning 19 May, on arrival we were greeted by by several members of staff who handed out room keys and took our luggage up to our room, very well organised and efficient. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, being at the rear of the hotel the room was very quiet, as we requested. Breakfast was a buffet and was very good, dinner was likewise a carvery buffet, nice food but as I do not like this type of service a little disappointing. Staff were excellent friendly and very helpful when we left they all came out to wave us goodbye which was a very nice gesture. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Douglas.

We can recommend this hotel highly: the level of customer care was very high and the service we received from all the staff was excellent over the 3 days we stayed. The room had a lovely sea view and was very clean and thoughtfully designed with everything you might need. The breakfast was pretty good too: HOT plates for once and a good range of juice, cereals etc and also a hot buffet with the full range of bacon and eggs etc ( and great sausages!) The best hotel stay we have had on the isle of man.We will definitely re-book for next year! Excellent value for money.
