We have just returned from a one-week stay in the Regency. Everything was just right. The room was comfortable, overlooking the sea, with a good area to the side where you could do paperwork, or make tea/coffee from the provisions provided. There was a mini bar with free soft drinks, which were replenished each day. There was also a free ipad provided for the week and the wifi connection was excellent. The complimentary newspaper Monday-Friday was an added treat. The food in the restaurant is of an incredibly high standard and top class. The staff were friendly and efficient. We could not recommend this hotel more and hope we can return to repeat the enjoyable experience some time soon.

Room Tip: We were in room 207 and would ask for it again

we travelled over to see family the welcome at the Regency was great the room was impressive
the staff so friendly and accommodating you felt at home. The evening meal was incredible and the individually cooked breakfast is to die for. If you have to go over to I O M then try to book the Regency for a experience of a life time and great value for money if you have to place a value on the experience. Thank you to all the staff at the Regency

Room Tip: the one we had looked out over Douglas bay fantastic cant wait to go back

Stayed at the Regency during a business trip to the IoM on the recommendation of the local office.

Great welcome on arrival with room already allocated and paperwork kept to a minimum.

Room was very clean, well appointed and the complimentary soft drinks were an added bonus and very welcome.

Breakfast was first class, had the Manx Kippers everyday!

Didn't have dinner in the hotel although the menu looked very inviting - first trip to Island so went out exploring everynight.

Would stay again - can imagine that in the summer the view across the prom is great.

Although only 10 miles from home we decided on a break at theRegency. We arrived to a friendly warm reception where we were greeted professionally. We were directed to a quaint lift which has to be experienced to be believed. The sea view room with complimentary soft drinks was spotlessly clean and spacious. A nice touch was the offer of an IPad and the text speak translation. The dinner bed and breakfast package was excellent value and breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Friendly service from breakfast staff.

This hotel sells itself short when describing itself. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the staff could not do enough for us. We stayed there for a short break and it had everything we needed. We had booked the restaurant for the Friday night when we arrived, but decided to change to the Saturday night. They not only managed to fit us in on the Saturday night (don't miss the first class restaurant), but rang L'Experience restaurant to book us in there for the Friday night. They offered us early breakfast on the day we were leaving in case we were on the early ferry out, then offered to arrange an early lunch for us as we were on the afternoon ferry. Breakfast was a leisurely affair with tea/coffee appearing even before we went in for breakfast. All this coupled with spacious, clean well equiped bedrooms made for an excellent break.

Old school charm and service with impeccable cleanliness and great food. It is the end of promenade so 1.7 miles walk into town but to be honest the Queens and Terminus pubs and L'Experience French restaurant are just a couple of minutes walk in either direction and plenty of taxis so for us this was a perfect location - will be back

Room Tip: Got to go for the sea view?

Stayed here in March 2013 on business. Wasn't there long so limited knowledge. However, great location on the prom opposite the beach so great if you are staying for a break. I was on business so I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy this.

The room was very spacious with a nice bathroom as well. Only problem was that overlooking the road meant it was quite noisy wi car traffic but this didn't create too much of a problem.

Room service was fast and efficient. Breakfast was located in a lovely room and was old fashioned in the sense of ordering rather than a breakfast buffet. The porridge wasn't great but overall ok and service was good - but then I was the only one having breakfast.

Overall a nice hotel, very old fashioned but that was ok as it's nice to have a change.
