This hotel sits on the promenade with lovely views across the water and over to the harbour. The hotel has an intentional old ship feel to it. It was cosy and the staff were welcoming.special welcome to the bar an who was friendly, quick and very competent despite the bar being very busy and he seemed to be manning the restaurant too!
The food was a bit pricey. I pay £16 for delicious but very small portion of oak smoked salmon with a baby's fist portion of rocket salad. I asked for no bread and thought they might have given me a couple of extra leaves but sadly no. I also paid over £5 for a dish of olives. I was still so pr kish after dinner I walked to the local pub for some nuts!
The room was spotless and very comfortable with a big bed and modern ensuite. The temperature however was way too warm and there didn't appear to be anyway of controlling it.
All in all I enjoyed my stay and would use this hotel again because of the great staff and the location.....but next time I will eat out.More
