“Posh Fish and Chips”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

Seated at the window with beautiful views over the harbour this little restaurant has the perfect location.
I had the local Queenies with a warm salad and an additional small cup of Manx Chowder which was very nice. Great tastes, although portions on the small side but really beautiful ingredients.
Really nicely cooked battered fish but you pay a lot for the portion of chips separately.
Would like to see much more adventurous additional seafood options as these guys can really cook. As it is titled the Little Fish Café it would be great to see Mussels, squid, octopus, all of which must be available locally.

“Amazing small restaurant.....Fantastic Fish and Chips.....”
Reviewed 28 August 2014

Had passed this place on a couple of evening and it was always packed out both inside an out, with a couple of hours to kill prior to getting the evening ferry, I was going in for a late afternoon snack, but with the main menu due to start in 20 mins held off till 5 pm, no problem getting a table, just me and another couple in there. Attentive staff throughout. Not a massive fan of fish but cant beat a good fish and chips. Went for the Hooded Ram beer battered cod, Fresh cut chips, Peas and spring onions, herb butter, the sides seemed a bit over priced but once you see what you got, there were no complaints. The fish was cooked to perfection, 2 pieces of cod that just fell off the fork, the batter was crisp and not over done. Couldn't fault it. A nice touch was the slice of lemon in a small muslin bag to prevent the pips for going on your meal; ingenious idea :-) Will definitely be making a return visit just a shame i'm not a massive fish fan.

Young, enthusiastic staff. We had delicious battered fish and crispy chips, just what we wanted. Open nice and early, good for eating before going to the theatre.

“Excellent meal”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

I went on a Wednesday evening with my husband and the restaurant was fully booked however they fitted us in but moved us to the bar for our desserts which was fine, it's a small restaurant so best to book. I had a vegetarian pie with Lancashire cheese, leek and potato, it was delicious. My husband had whole sea bass which was also cooked beautifully. This is real fresh food cooked from scratch. The staff were very polite and efficient. Full marks to all concerned.

“Delightful Treat”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

I like this place, it's a good addition to the quay and has been done up beautifully with a great character and feel.

The fish dishes are cooked well, the chips are perfection and the menu choice is just enough variety to give you options without being overwhelmed - the perfect amount of dishes to know the ingredients are fresh. The portions are not huge but I did not leave feeling hungry and I suspect any more would have left me uncomfortably full.

The drinks are excellent, as you would expect from the bath & bottles sibling café.

All in all I would definitely recommend it for a visit but be prepared for an expensive night if you have more than a couple of drinks.
