“Back to Isle of Man for 2nd Honeymoon after 40 years!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2011

40 Years ago my wife and i visited Isle of man for our honeymoon. We returned this year 40 years on and stayed at the Inglewood Hotel. We couldn't have asked for any better accommodation. We were warmly welcomed and found the food at this hotel was excellent. Staff were pleasant and very helpful at all times. Thanks to Andy and Pip for making our return visit to the isle of man very enjoyable. We hope to return again.

I travelled to the Isle of Man last Sunday with my friend and we stayed for a couple of nights at this lovely hotel. The hotel itself is on the seafront a short walk from everything but just far enough to be away from the more busy tourist areas. We arrived on a Sunday evening and were greeted by one of the owners Pip. She remembered my friend who had stayed before, knew both of our names and had our keys ready for us. The service started well and ket to a high standard throughout our couple of days.
The room itself was nice, with nice wooden furniture and a well fitted modern shower-room, there wasn't a view, but I think that was because we booked late and these were the only rooms left, to be honest I wasn't going to spend my weekend looking out of windows so it didn't bother me.
in the morning I was greeted by the other owner Andy who also knew my name and took my order for breakfast, breakfast was lovely and the breakfast room equally charming.
We stayed for another night and got more of the same, Andy and Pip are absolutely lovely people and they run a stunning little hotel, the standard they achieve warrants the praise I give them I assure you.
Thanks Andy and Pip, you made my stay one I'll always remember, and I urge you reader to give them a chance I feel confident you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask if you can get a sea view

Very friendly owners, rooms very clean and within the constraints of a Victorian building, well laid out. Given the age and orientation of the building there are compromises, but the owners have done their best to mitigate these and all in all we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the Hotel to others wishing to stay in Douglas.

Stayed here many times now. Cannot fault them at all. All the rooms are lovely, Andy and Pip are superb hosts, the facilities are top quality.
Seaview rooms have lovely big windows with settee, chairs and coffee table strategically placed so you can just sit and watch the world go by.
Bathrooms are plush and modern.
The king size beds are very comfortable, one of the best nights sleep I've had anywhere.
Lovely friendly atmosphere, well stocked bar.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have a superb view of the bay

A traditional hotel overlooking Douglas Bay with comfortable modern bedrooms, breakfast room, lounge and a well stocked bar to relax after a day exploring this lovely island.
Andy & Pip could not have been more welcoming or helpful with excellent recommendations of where to eat or places to visit - and if you're on the top floor you'll also leave the island fitter!
