Pleasant greeting on arrival by the owners, excellent cleanliness and welcoming surroundings. Good selection available at breakfast and opportunity to have whatever you asked for. Rooms are spacious with great facilities. Nice to have a lounge and bar available - especially with the Whiskey menu. Would recommend this hotel and would stop again on our next visit to Douglas.

First impressions were positive as we received a warm welcome and our case was carried up to the room while we checked in.

The room was comfortable and spotless although on the fourth floor and at the back of the building - something that we knew and accepted when our booking was confirmed.

The breakfasts were good with a choice of continental or traditional cooked.

I don't suppose we will have reason to visit the island again but would recommend The Inglewood to anyone making the trip.

We stayed at the Inglewood hotel in July 2012 when my husband was running the Isle of Man marathon. The hotel is great, it's in a good location and has obviously been renovated in the last few years. The owners Pip and Andy, and their son William were wonderful hosts - we had our twin toddlers with us and they supplied two cots, two highchairs and Andy even managed to calm a breakfast toddler tantrum, fed one of the boys and kept them both entertained!

We stayed at the very top of the hotel (there aren't any lifts) but this didn't prove a problem, in fact it helped keep the boys occupied. The view from the room was great but if you have problems with stairs make sure you request a lower floor.

I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit the Isle of Man.

Room Tip: My friends stayed in room 15 which is a great sized room with a lovely view of the sea. I would rec...

I was a member of the Scot-Trek group which used the Inglewood as its base for a walking holiday on the Isle of Man in early August. It is a very well run family hotel and Pip and Andy are friendly and approachable hosts. Rooms are spacious and well furnished and the traditional and Manx kipper breakfasts are excellent. 'Good to have the local Bushy's beer available in the bar!

Room Tip: Sea views are always a joy!

Our first visit to the island for five years but not our first visit to Inglewood. Pip and Andy had not long taken over here when we first stayed with them. Their hospitality has remained constantly excellent. What they have done to upgrade the place is amazing. Even though it's impossible for all the rooms to have the wonderful sea views that the sea front rooms have, the comfort levels do not diminish. All are furnished in a modern but comfortable style, with en suite facilities, which they didn't have in the past.

There is a great variety of options available for breakfast. Cereal and fruit juice, tea, coffee or a selection of specialilty teas are available for all, then there are several other options to follow. I had the continental option on both days and my husband had the veggie cooked. Both were very tasty and filling.

Finally, if you're a whisky drinker, don't forget Andy's wonderful selection of single malts. A great way to round off the day, especially when watching Mo Farah win the 10,000 metres gold as we were doing!

Just back from the Inglewood Hotel and what a lovely experience. The owners Andy and Pip are lovely hosts, its just home from home. We were a party of six celebrating my husbands 60th birthday, on the day of his birthday when we returned Pip had made the most delicious choc birthday cake what a lovely gesture. The front bedrooms are looking over the prom and beach very spacious just as the picture shows. The rooms were spotless , breakfast was great different choices. would highly recommend . All transport is at hand. If you need to know anything Andy and Pip are very helpful. Kilkeel N.I August 2012.

Room Tip: Pay the little extra to have a room with a view. The noise is very minimal.

Very good value, high quality hotel, with large, well furnished rooms, which are spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are well appointed, but do have showers rather than baths. The breakfasts are good and the owners are very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is on the seafront about a mile and a half from the centre of Douglas, but immediately adjacent to both the bus and horse drawn tram stops, and about half a mile from the electric tram.

For some people there would be issues, A lot of the rooms have limited views, but the larger rooms at the front have great views of the prom and beach. There are lots of steps including a flight of steps up to the entrance and there is no lift. but this is not uncommon for the hotels and guest houses in Douglas.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room at the front
