First time staying at Inglewood and what a pleasant surprise. Lovely family run hotel, immaculate, friendly and comfortable. Room was large with separate sitting area. Bedding and towels were crisp white and of a high quality. Plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space. Bathroom was modern, spotless with a huge walk in power shower. Decor throughout hotel is neutral, bright, high quality and spotlessly clean. Free wi-fi that actually works! Fab breakfasts cooked to order and such a varied choice. Professional service with a smile from all we came into contact with. As regular visitors to the island we will definitely stay here again and recommend the Inglewood without hesitation.

We've just had a lovely week staying in Room 10 of the Inglewood - this is the seaview room on the second floor. The views from the bay window in the lounge area are wonderful. The room is very spacious with two large single beds, a leather settee and two chairs and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space - furniture seems very new. Loads of hangers in the wardrobe. There's a hairdryer and kettle with a well stocked basket of coffee, tea and drinking chocolate. Bathroom is well appointed and everything works really well. Had seven quiet, comfortable nights sleep. An amazing choice of Breakfast and all the ones we had were delicious. Andy & Pip are very friendly and helpful.

Location wise, it's hard to see how the place could be better. No problem with parking within sight of the hotel. Request stops for the horse tram right outside the door and you're only a few minutes walk from the Electric Railway (recommended, by the way). Douglas centre is not too far to walk either. We found plenty of choice for places to eat within walking distance - we had Italian, Indian, Chinese and English but we could also have had Indonesian and French.

The bottom line is - if you've logged on to Tripadvisor to help you find where to stay on the Isle of Man then you've just found it! Book it now!

Had a perfect one night stay at the Inglewood. We live locally but it was so great we really felt like we were on holiday! Brilliant hosts, lovely atmosphere in the bar, gorgeous room with sea view, extremely comfortable bed, fantastic shower and without doubt the best cooked breakfast ever!! Everybody should stay at the Inglewood!

Having recently stayed at another B & B that I found to be average and nearly all other reviewers found excellent I chose this B & B with a little trepidation. I need not have worried, this is an excellent well run hotel, and my confidence in tripadvisor is restored.

We had the room on the 4th floor with sea view, I say room in fact it is more like a suite with bedroom and sitting room (both with tvs) and an ensuite. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the bathroom well designed, and is as good as you will find. The rooms were spotlessly clean.

The public rooms on the ground floor comprise of a sitting room at the front furnished in a contemporary manner and next to this is a bar for the residents sole use, open between 6.30 and 10.30pm. The final room to the back is the breakfast room and is also decorated in a contemporary manner with clever lighting to make up for the lack of natural light.

The breakfast was of a high standard using quality local produce and there was plenty of choice. All items we had were fresh (I can say this as we did not have baked beans!)

The proprietors provide exemplary service. They gauge the service to perfection, they are there when you want them, and not there when you don't. The hotel is of a size which allows it to be personal but not intrusively so, and enables you to feel totally relaxed.

I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

We had three perfect nights at the Inglewood, Andy and Pip are wonderful hosts, with Andy even booking our IOM TT trike tour minutes after we arrived, and we loved the tour. Everything was clean and nice and the breakfast was plentiful. The room we had on the first floor was spacious, we were glad of a room on the first floor as we had very heavy cases. Highly recommend to other travellers. The horse tram and bus as conveniently located, which is great to use with the 3 day Island Explorer. The Savoy Hotel is just a short walk away and serves delicious food.

My wife and I stayed at the Inglewood Hotel for 4 nights during July 2014. We were unable to spend the first night in a Seaview suite as they were fully booked, so our first night was spent in a rear 3rd floor room, which was clean and tidy. The next morning we were transferred into a Seaview suite on the 3rd floor. The owners, Pip and Andy, moved our cases to this room whilst we were out during the day. We were not disappointed with either room, but the Seaview suite was exceptional. It was a large suite, which had a leather settee, a large Plasma TV, 2 chairs, a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The views over Douglas seafront were magnificent. The bathroom looked new and was very clean. Pip and Andy were always very polite and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and always cooked to order. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

Room Tip: The Seaview suites are well worth the extra expense.

My husband booked this hotel to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary but our stay did not make us feel special or like we were celebrating. The breakfasts were great as were the veiws but for the price the suite was basic, not cleaned to a high standard (dust on tea tray unit, crack in wall behind curtain unable to close 1st window as draft excluder slipping and unable to use middle window as advised by Andy). Down the road our friends stayed at a equally standard room for a fraction of the price on the sea front.

We're very disappointed that you didn't feel you had a special stay with us whilst celebrating your anniversary and that we didn't meet your expectations.

Having not advised us of any issues and telling us everything was fine during your stay, your comments come as a bit of a surprise. The window has been fixed, we were waiting for parts as advised, which is unfortunate timing.

This business is challenging as everyone has different opinions about décor, value and standards of service etc. The room pictures on our website do give an accurate picture of what you're booking so in terms of style and facilities there should be no surprises. We will continue to learn from guest feedback, so thank you for taking the time to do a review.
