This is a free museum and apart from the prison cell will be best appreciated by adults. It is easily visited in an hour.

An okay little museum - free to look in. Has a small 'cell' that was used as a jail. Lots of local artifacts - and a little about the social history of Peel.

Although the museum was small I thought that the way in which the exhibits were arranged made it easier to see. I particularly enjoyed the coin collection and seeing the notes used on the island.
I thought that the various artefacts showing life on the Isle of Man were very good.

It is small but the exhibits are changed so that you get the opportunity to see the wealth of information there is available. The actual building is historically interesting too. Roy, the curator has so much knowledge and is more than willing to research local families for visitors, he also sometimes does guided walks around Peel which give a fascinating insight into the history of some of the old houses.

Small, quaint, interesting and free museum (though voluntary contributions welcomed). Titchy museum with old court house below. Cabinet displays with many trinkets and oddments of Manx History. Worth a quick visit if visiting Peel - it's only two rooms so doesn't take long to view.
