“Wonderfull Albany House”
Reviewed 4 February 2009

I stayed with my sister in Albany House for a few nights in May.
We wanted to visite my Aunt who lives near The Albany House.
Nicky and Nigel are fantastic and the room was perfect.
Breakfast was great.
I recommend this Bed and Breakfast to everybody who wants to come to The Isle of Man.

My 90 year old mother & I stayed in "The Frazer Suite" as a birthday treat for my mum's 91st birthday in October 2008.

We recieved a warm welcome from Nikki & Nigel & felt so at home. They have thought of EVERYTHING. sewing kit , shoe polishing stuff, candles in the bathroom whch has under floor heating, Seperate bath & shower so two of us could have used facilities at same time (we didn't but useful if staying with my husband the next visit.)
The variety of hot drinks supplied & replenised daily far more than any hotel I've stayed in in Britain.

The breakfasts each morning superbly cooked by trained chef Nigel. Who also had so much knowledge of the Isle of Man, A MANX MAN . (Places to eat our evening meals & where to walk with Ellie. Advice about places of interest )

There are so many books & information I shall be back with my husband in the near future, Hopefully see different areas with the use of Albany House leaflets & guides.

A BIG THANK YOU for allowing ELLIE to stay .

  • Liked — The comfy beds at night & the beakfast in morning
  • Disliked — Quirky plumbing took some getting used to-taps turned opposite way.

Four of us stayed at Albany House for two nights whilst over for my nieces wedding. The hotel is excellent in every respect. We were made most welcome, the very high standard of the rooms which left nothing to chance, spotless, huge bed, lovely sparkling bathroom, every comfort with lots and lots of extra touches, everything was there to hand including robes, Nicki even refreshed the room whilst we were out .
The breakfast, which was kindly provided a little later than usual was 'world class' ,very high quality and 5 star in anybodys ratings, for example, my continental breakfast consisted of fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit, followed by a slection of continental meats and cheeses , fresh croissant and pastries. wow. All beautifully presented. The cooked breakfasts were to the same standard. Very highly recommended.

Thanks Pauline, Len, Simon and Estelle

I can, with every confidence , recommend this B&B for anyone wanting a relaxing and comfortable stay in the Isle of Man.

Pre-visit information about the IOM is provided with the booking confirmation, the house is clean and cosy and the hosts are determined to ensure that your stay with them is the best experience it can be.

The breakfasts are excellent and the general atmosphere and ambience is one of welcoming warmth and charm.

My two friends and i have just returned from the Isle of Man, where we stayed in the Albany House B & B for 4 nights.

Thanks to our hosts we had the most fantastic stay. It was like visiting family rather than strangers, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was fantastic, warm and cosy, there was a number of added touches that made the stay that much more special. Many choices for breakfast, the only unfortunate thing was we wern't staying long enough to try them all.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who is thinking of going to the Isle of Man.

My partner and I were on the Isle of Man for 2 days, during that time we stayed at the Albany house, and what a trasure it turned out to be! the facilities are excellent, elegant, charming and homely all at the same time, the owners Nikki and Nigel were really helpful and always prepared to stop and have a chat, the breakfast was divine and it was hard work to get out of the super comfy bed in the Osborn Room. thoroughly reccommended, cant wait to get back there!
