Just back from a 4 night stay at this park. Booked a Gold caravan and was not disappointed, very clean and comfortable. Went to the Lighthouse entertainment complex every night for a few drinks, friendly staff and on one day we had a lunch and another an evening meal - both of which were really nice and I'd say reasonable value. My only complaint was that there seemed to be a lack of heating in the entertainment areas, indeed on one evening every person in the hall (about 30) appeared to be sitting with coats on. Overall though the accomodation and park were good and I'd certainly consider returning.

We booked a silver plus caravan very basic uncomfortable beds cannot believe that there is any lower grade. The van was only accessible via muddy grass. Parking was terrible no spaces at all.
Security staff very rude. Without doubt this is the worst caravan holiday I have ever had. Save yourself the grief do NOT go to this park. Asked for a plug for the sink within hours of arriving never got it. Told to go home if we didn't like it we did.

Room Tip: If you must go get the minimum of gold standard

we booked what was supposed to be a silver plus caravan but what we got was barley standard which i still wouldnt have minded if we hadnt paid £240 for 4 nights, only payed this much because it was easter holidays and supposed to be silver plus,im not normally a fussy person but how they had the nerve to charge this much for shabby accomodation is beyond me,filthy carpets filthy sofas no blind at kitchen window and that was just the start of things.Having said all that the rest of the park was clean and welcoming facilities were average but the staff were really polite and friendly and helpfull.in our rush to get home we forgot my sons favourite teddys,as soon as i reallised i phoned the park she said they had the teddys and would send them back to us,we sent a prepaid envelope and true to their word they sent them back and put the smile back on my sons face.if you are booking a holiday at this park i wouldnt bother paying the extra for a better caravan, just book a standard.

We booked through the Mail holidays promotion and didn't have high expectations of what the caravan would be like, we paid £72 + the price of entertainment passes for 4 nights in the Easter holidays, so weren't sure what to expect.

When we arrived we had a nice, clean caravan, it was a good size and layout and best of all we had parking outside of our caravan and central heating! My parents and my in-laws visited while we were there and they were all very impressed with the standard of the accommodation.

A couple of minor downsides were; when we arrived the loo seat in one of the two loos was broken, the arm of the sofa was broken so you couldn't sit in that seat and a few of the lights weren't working. Nothing too serious, but could have easily been fixed before we got there.

We also didn't realise that the linen wasn't included in the cost, whenever we've done this sort of holiday before you had to 'opt out' of linen but this time it seemed it was the other way around, so we turned up and had no bedding!

The site was very well maintained, staff friendly and mostly helpful, the area is beautiful and the location by the lighthouse is fabulous. My children loved the outdoor play area and we all enjoyed the pool. I would definitely recommend the park for a nice quiet holiday by the sea.

filthy, horrid, rundown caravan that had not been cleaned for months! we spent a day cleaning it, carpets were disgusting too, toilets blocked & overflowing, taps dripping, shower worked, sometimes but was also dirty, fire & boiler constantly blowing out. The staff, what a joke!!,we had no bedding on arrival & a man & 2 kids walked straight in after being told it was their caravan! they had double booked!
went for a weeks holiday but left 2 days early as this site was so bad.
been plenty of caravan holidays in the last 15 years, many with Park Resorts, but have never been in such a horrid caravan! total waste of a weeks holiday & a lot money!!

Room Tip: never, ever again!

I arrived here with my niece and nephew staying for a week. we stayed in a silver plus van which was lovely lots of room. The food was nice but was a little over priced. The entertainment facilities were excellent. Kids clubs all day alot to do the evening entertainment was great and fantastic production shows. The kids loved Spencer and Emma they we're great, full of energy. Would recommend this holiday park to all in a lovely area on seafront lots of amusements and stuff to do off park. Thankyou to all the staff.

just returned home from another fantstic holiday a whitley bay, caravan very clean and tidy and well worth the money i paid, i stayed in platinum caravan with central heating through out and double glazing so me and my family were very comfortable, the entertainment both day and night was great my children loved every minute and cannot wait to return back for the 5th time hopefully in october, the teamstars were brilliant with the kids caravan park grounds are clean and tidy so ignore the previous comment of "dog poo all over place" ive now been holidaying on this site for the past 4 yrs with my children and never had any complaints about "dog poo" on the ground.
