We were given money for our wedding to go towards our Honeymoon. We're not really travellers but couldn't complain at all at the hotel (we had a standard room which was very impressive with a lovely view), food (a lot of variety and always very flavoursome) and staff (once you got their sense of humour!!)

Overall, this is a decent place. The food is good for an all-inclusive resort. The facilities and the cleanliness was average. The saving grace of this place was its staff. I was traveling with my young daughter and the staff went out of their way to learn her name, talk with her and made special arrangements for her to get meals early to coincide with her naps. From a parent's point of view this place was very good.

Not as "polished" as Sandals on west coast of Antigua. (We were amazed that 80 U.S dollars was the charge for taxi to/from Pineapple Beach (also Sandals-Beaches group) to Sandals 'proper'!!!!!!) We couldnt understand why a subsidised shuttle could not be provided. Wonderful team of happy people made our holiday great in spite of lots of rain. Joanne (egg station operator extraordinaire) was a delight! Thank you Grand Pineapple Beach. We had a good time.

hi, just ot say my husband i and went to the grand p. and it was fabulous, we only paid £1400 all inc for 7 days and it was such good value. lovely people fantastic place, my recommendation is the ocean view rooms on the hill. They were large and had a dressing area outside of the bathroom which was fab. Would definately return. Cats and Birds were no problem, vendors no problem, nice staff, no more i can say really, but we will return most definately.

just got back and wanted to reassure all those who are about to go to this hotel. we really enjoyed ourselves here, the beach is wonderful and the hotel is excellent. we had a beach front room wich was steps from the shore, it was clean and tidy and very spacious, you have a tv with loads of channels to choose from and a nice bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. the food at the hotel is very nice and its right what all the other travellers say about the egg lady at breakfast - superb! the rib shack is part of the all inclusive and is fantastic, you can wonder up there any time and help yourself to a beer or coke and plenty of ribs and salad.
we hired a jeep from the chappie at the hotel desk for about $80 a day and really enjoyed the trip around the island, you dont really meet many other people on the roads and you cant drive any faster than around 40 miles an hour as the roads are covered in pot holes, there are no road signs so arm yourself with a little map, you can stop and ask any local directions where you will be met with a great big smile and pointed down the right road, its fun and worth a go! swimming with the rays is fantastic not to be missed, and we also went on the freestyle eco trip which was great - the three fellers that take you on this trip are a great bunch of guys, very friendly and approachable.
take American dollers with you as we found that everything is quoted in these, you can take e c but if i were to go again i would just take the american i think.
one last thing, dont miss the opportunity to go to the sister hotel , Sandles, it is sooooo worth it, it costs $80 round trip, we had a party of 4 (two different rooms ) for that cost so if your only in a party of 2 ask another guest if they want to book along with you!! its about a 30 min journey accross the island and you have to book with the hotel which reception will do for you, but its a chance to see how the other half live and to sample the delicious cocktails which are made from fresh fruit at the swim up bar, everything about this hotel is splendid.
we met our fair share of moaners at the grand pinnapple, its a shame that these people have so much to moan about, i cant believe that people are actually maoning about birds in the restaurant !!!!!!!!!!! YOUR IN A TROPICAL PLACE FOR GODS SAKE , maybe they should think about going to centre parks wher its nice and enclosed, dont be put off by these negative reviews , i am sure these people would moan about anything given half the chance. i am a very well travelled person, i have been to the maldives, Mauritius, Australia, Barbados etc etc etc and believe me this hotel is no better or worse than any other, the birds in Mauritius were coming down in flocks !! but i found it enchanting, its all down to how open minded you are whether you enjoy your experiences in different countries or not, those that expect perfection should just stay at home!!
