Despite the strange name this hotel is friendly clean and well priced. Included in the price is the use of an excellent sea food restaurant across the road for HB customers. The food is excellent and the service matches. The Spa on the basement floor of the hotel is superb and the service is also splendid. The treatments are well priced and very relaxing. Again the use of the steam room and Jacuzzi for customers of the hotel is included in the price. at £70 a night for HB off season it's excellent value - so don't be put off by the name and give it a whirl.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite if available at the same price - with sea views.

I have traveled Northern Cyprus as my parent decend from here. I've stayed across the country both north and south, as a whole and would like to rate Exotic as the higher end of Hotels. Great Family run, friendly hotel with own beach/pool (water slides) and public restaurant with weekend entertainment.

I've stayed in the 5star hotels such as Dome in Kyrenia and Salamis Bay Hotel in Famagusta, where by the service is acceptable as you have to make allowances for the amount of peoples to the ratio of staff. At Exotic I had no issues of staff being attentive, they where on point throughout my two week stay and even better they where friendly and willing to assist.

The resort is clean, they must spray for mosquitoes as I have NO mosquito bites this year- RESULT.
The amenities are very good, you have a Tempo supermarket (Turkish version of Tesco) within meters of the hotel so you can stock up on goodies to suit your fancy and stock in the FRIDGE that works. The first time i have been to Cyprus and the fridges actually Work, Good old Salamis bay and Dome hotel (National know 5 star hotels) give you 1950's fridge that barely chill let alone frezze, so if you are diebetic I wouldnt take your insuling there.
Exotic hotel have arrangements with a local car rental services whereby guests get a hire car for a discounted rate- THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR MY DISCOUNT.

I would recommend Exotic to people They have there own restaurant check out Kiyi restaurant Bogaz, with generous fresh tasty foods and great location as this is a coast resort.

Please ignore the people who stated their stay was noisy, I stayed for two weeks on the first floor facing the road which was the only thing separating us from the sea. I had a great nights sleep and so did my family.

Simply Fabulous

Thank you to all the staff and owner and family, I will definitely be coming back.

Room Tip: Ask for a seafront room So you can wake up to the view of the sea,

Only stayed here for 1 night B&B.The staff were friendly enough. Breakfast was chosen off a menu...no queuing at the toaster here! Room smelt musty on entering but not too bad once windows were opened. Bed sheets were clean but i would like to see mattress and pillow protectors. Rooms were very spacious with a full sized fridge. It was nice to have carpet in the room.Balcony wasnt very big. Bathroom rather dated but was clean enough altho use of some bleach would have got rid of the black grouting around the bath.I agree Its not top notch but then you aren't paying 5 star prices. It was good value for money, clean and comfortable with lovely views and a good position, although it was a 10 minute walk to Bogaz Harbour it was along a wide footpath for majority of the way and it was a lovely stroll. There was NO porn channel on the TV in our room. Yes, i would stay here again.

If you get past the shabby 60s decor the rooms are clean but very noisy (adjacent main road), though there is little traffic at night. The half board is very good value - we had a fish meze which was excellent in parts - especially good fresh calamari and sea bream. However, and it's a big however, like the reviewer below we fell foul of the hard core unscrambled porn channel. My 11 year old daughter turned on the TV in her room and there it was. Staff met our complaint with a mild shrug. Don't stay here with kids.

I agree with the previous reviews which give a fair description of the hotel. I suppose parts of the hotel could be described as shabby (by UK standards) but from what I have heard from friends it is one of the best in the area!

We have stayed at the hotel 4 times so we obviously like it. We have always stayed out of season and the hotel has been very quiet. The best features are the staff, who are very welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant (very popular with locals) but value for money is also high on the list at £50 for two people for dinner, bed and breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and like the previous reviewer opted for the half-board basis. To save any long winded explanations, I’ll just bullet point the bad and good points:

Bad Points

• Rooms are very dated and in a poor state of repair
• The pool area looks unfinished and tatty (but the pools are fine)
• The music around the pool area is at ‘disco level’ volume
• The beach and evening restaurant are across a very busy road. The beach is poor, 10m long with 3 sun beds on it
• The TV has a hard-core porn channel which isn’t scrambled. (Not very child friendly)
• No lift (remember this calls itself a 4 star hotel)

Good Points

• Half-board basis is excellent value with great food, excellent service and a lovely setting
• Breakfast was fine, although a little limited in choice
• Domestic household sized fridge in room

Would I stay here again? …………..Only if they spend some money updating the rooms and turn the music down around the pool area.
