My husband and I have now been here twice and never made it past the tearoom and garden so we still have no idea what the house is like inside! But I can tell you that it is worth a visit for the little tearoom alone as they produce the most amazing home made cakes and scones which are great along with a pot of tea (I even saw a little knitted tea cosy on one of the pots on out last visit!) - and reasonably priced too which is a bonus. Very nice and tranquil to be able to sit outside at one of the tables if the weather is kind!
There is also a small play area tucked away further back - and a lovely garden full of fruit, veg and flowers being developed and run by volunteers. Really nice to walk around and the volunteer gardeners are always happy to have a chat and tell you about it.
Not sure of the opening times so you need to check the website - think they also do occasional plays on the lawns in the summer. As we have unfinished business we will be back but maybe next time we need to visit the house BEFORE the tea room, now there's a thought...
