“Lovely warm welcome . Great place to stay.”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

This was our second visit to Burton Row and as before Linda gave a very warm welcome to us as if we were old friends. A gorgeous piece of home made cake and a pot of tea was brought to us in the garden where we sat resting after our drive down from London. Lovely comfortable room , we stayed in the suite last time. Spotlessly clean with great attention to detail. Really felt like home from home. Had a great weekend, lovely hot weather made it perfect. Next time we are down to Somerset, we wouldnt stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: We have stayed in the suite and in the bedroom and they are both superb.

If you believe that a luxury stay is something you will only get in a major city - think again.

From the moment you arrive at the property you are looked after, the owners are really friendly and the fresh coffee & warm scones went down very well :-)

The building has been sympathetically restored & updated by the owner (I wish he was my builder - his attention to detail is superb).

A warm & comfortable room, lovely big bed, fantastic shower (doesn't 'dribble' out of the spray head - it blasts!).
Good quality furniture, good reception on TV, Wifi speed good, Tea & Coffee in the room from local purveyor.

We didn't use the hot-tub only because we ran out if time, sited away from the property in a purpose built room, it has views across the farmland and to the hills - bring your cossies and give it a go!

Had dinner at a local pub (The Red Cow) that was excellent value & quality.

So, to sum up:
Great accomodation, lovely hosts, quality above & beyond expectations , very good value, easy parking, quiet location .

Of all the places that I have reviewed - this comes top of the list in every respect.

Wonderful......

All the reviews are right, this cannot be faulted, along with the Edenshead Stables in Scotland, these B&B's should be awarded more than 10 for excellence.
Linda made us most welcome and the Suite was first class accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was substantial, freshly cooked and set us up for a day out.
Definitely somewhere you would return too if in the area, again and again.
Glad that I checked Trip Advisor before booking as would have gone elsewhere and certainly lived up to its billing.

Room Tip: Suite was spacious, and worth the extra cost involved.

Fabulous experience at this 16th Century farmhouse. Room was beautifully decorated and immaculate with a gorgeous spacious en-suite shower room. Farmhouse breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts I have ever tasted. Wonderful variety on offer at breakfast including kippers!

Very friendly welcome by the owner Linda. Would not hesitate to recommend this to any of our friends down this way.

Peaceful village with good pub food nearby.

we have just spent a wonderful two days at this very pretty farmhouse, the scones and fresh tea and coffee on arrival was most welcome and delicious, the hostess was very welcoming and freindly. The rooms are spacious, well presented and very clean, fresh towels each day, and with a tv/dvd in each room was very handy. The breakfast was absolutley wonderful, lovely fresh local produce, and you could definately tell the quality. The hot tub was a nice bonus, very relaxing. The seafront was only about 10 minutes away, and the food there was very good too. Also had a meal at the Red Cow about 5 minutes down the road, also local fresh produce, the meals were very nice and the landlords very friendly. It was our anniversary and the hostess at the B&B was kind enough to leave us a card. The hostess was very friendly, had answers for all our questions and we would definately recommend to family, friends and anybody else considering a stay in tis area.

Room Tip: only 3 guest rooms, no children at this location, lovely area, nice and quiet

We were upgraded to a suite which was a bonus. Great having a sitting room as well as the bedroom. Lovely quiet place with a nice view over the garden. Excellent breakfast with fresh eggs from the hens in the next field. Plenty of parking space and a warm welcome from the hostess.
