We did just that .My husband and i have been 6 times to the isle of wight. We had been told different negative things about this hotel we had read really bad reviews. So packed our cases and went for it .It was a wonderful holiday we got back yesterday and would have stayed longer we will be returning in june most of the people we spoke to also said they would go back i had no complaints at all. We should have tried it years ago it has the location food friendliness seaviews all you could want for a price you can afford . Well done travelstyle.

Enough has been said about the decoration. I travelled with Travelstyle with my wife ( our first time) the tour was brilliant, coach very comfotable and driver Kieron was an excellent guide being cheerfull and informative.
Upon arrival our cases were taken to our rooms for us and we were directed to the dinning room for our evening meal which was very welcomed after a full days travel.
Our room overlooked the sea, the radiator was a little warm but for elderly guests would have been preferable to being cold. The sound of the sea in the evening and night was very relaxing, the room was clean and tidy as was the bedding as previously stated the decor was tired but more than adequate for our needs as we were only in the room for 4 nights and 3 days.
The view from the dining room is lovely as was the food which was complimented by the friendliness of both front of house and the kitchen staff, bieng both attentive without being intrusive.
The entertainment was of a high standard and enjoyed by guests, staff and entertainers themselves.
Any queries / problems that occured were dealt with quickly and in a professional manner leaving you without being made to feel an inconvenience to them.
We would definately re visit the Seagrove as we felt we were given very good value for the money we paid.

Had a very enjoyable visit to this Hotel recently. The room was large, with double aspect, both were sea views. The beds were basic but comfortable and the windows double glazed.
The central heating was probably slightly too high, as we ended up having to have windows on vent at night. Having said that the gentle sound of the waves lapping against the shore was relaxing and had no problem getting to sleep.

On a negative note, the wardrobe had a hinge missing, making it hard to open. The TV only had one channel (BBC1), Or at least that was the only channel I could get on. No remote had to be hand changed.
In the bathroom there was a large chip (which had been repaired) a crack (which hadn't).

Back to the positives and the food was plentyful and very tasty (compliments to the chef). Again stunning sea views from the dining room windows.Staff at meal times were pleasant and efficient.

Entertainment was nightly and of very good quality, several very good nights were had by most, if not all. Bar prices were very good being on average fourty to fifty pence cheaper that I was used to paying. A nice surprise from other Hotels were prices are usually higher than usual.

All staff were extremely pleasant and you only had to ask for any problems to be solved. All in all a cheap and very good value fo money holiday and stay at the Seagrove. My advice would be to give them a try.

Just got back home from this hotel..we stayed four nights ..we travelled with Travelstyle ..this hotel is so-so tired ..we did know we were on a budget holiday and everything else was great i.e the travel itself and the two tours included in the holiday..the staff at the hotel are truly lovely..not one complaint on that score ..but we found ourselves almost dreading going to our room ..not the cleanest by any means ( the cleaning lady again was lovely..but she has to make the best of what in my opinion is a hotel...well past its sell by date)

Just returned from a second visit to the Saegrove, had a great time really nice room with a sea view, food was great the waiters are so helpful nothing is too much bother for them.
Cheap bar prices, all the staff make you feel at home I have no complaints at all.

Don't expect the Hilton ,24hr room service etc if you want that pay top dollar elsewhere.
If you want a clean, friendly hotel with good food this place is hard to beat.
