Stayed here 2-6th April 2012. It was not a good experience. Basically.....

Bedrooms rundown, dirty, not maintained at all. Ditto the rest of the hotel. My bedroom carpet in particular was covered in grey hairs!

Staff difficult to find and did NONE of the things asked of them such as - can i have a bath towel/ my tv fixed/ radiator turned down...vey basic requests!

The dining room carpet was covered in crumbs, we had the same tablecloth all week. The waitresses had too many people to serve and our orders were mixed up EVERY day. The cutlery, crockery and glassware were in need of a deep clean and some were very chipped and unuseable!

The bedding was very old and thin, the bed uncomfortable and I just couldn't wait to be in my own bed again...not how you want to feel on holiday!

I am happy to stay in budget hotels. This isn't a budget hotel it's a dirty, rundown, uncared for building which shouldn't bear the name hotel.

Plus my brother and his girlfriend contracted norovirus during our stay, we don't blame the hotel but maybe so many people wouldn't have contracted it in the hotel if the hygene standards were higher! My room wasn't cleaned or even touched all week (apart from the bin being emptied)...the bin incidentally was covered in dubious looking (sick??!!) splashmarks!!!

The location of this hotel is highly desirable but that's where the desirability ends! As for 'slander' (??!!) this is merely my opinion (and the opinion of MANY others!!).

If you do visit the Sea grove...good luck!

Room Tip: No rooms are good but try to get a seaview to at least salvage something from your stay!!!

well what can i say we have thousands of guests stay here and compliment the food etc. but this is coming from a man that insulted the staff and swore at them without cause so no comment.
come and see for yourself.

Just got back from a 4 night stay with my family. I could not have imagined how bad it would be. I was desperate to get home. Hotel is shabby and in disrepair possibly hazardous. Wallpaper peeling, cobwebs, mould in bathroom, no remote to work TV, doors could be pushed open by my children so no security, bedding had stains on it and I found two hairs that were not mine, bed was broken in the middle so had to be careful win sitting at the edge, creeky old floorboards, old and outdated decor, food APPALLING we ended up eating outside which added to our cost, windows would not open at all, heating could not be turned off and no handyman around to sort any problems, my dad needed to buy a pair at a shop and fixi it himself, corridor doors kept banging constantly due to inadequate closing springs so loss of sleep. Yes it was budget holiday but this was inexcusable. I would not expect such poor care in a UK hotel. NEVER AGAIN!!

Room Tip: it may be cheap but it will ruin your whole holiday

Please do not go to this Hotel as it is a disgusting place, I didn't think there where Hotels as bad as this one. We were in the attic a climb of 32 steps and it was a cowboy builder's nightmare. The only plus side was that the staff were all friendly. We developed the Nirovirus while there and have been very ill for 3 days, and did report it to the office.

Room Tip: Don't go.!!!
