Diane and Ian has thought of everything in this little chalet so where do I start
Lovely 2 bedrooms excellent wifI and very dog friendly
Location great for the downs and the beach all on your doorstep
The owners are very at tentative to the little extras they provide even down to a welcome pack and milk in the fridge
We stayed for 5 days and was fortunate to have had excellent weather which show the views at there best.
Will definitely be back .
We stayed here for a few days and it was lovely!! We stay in the iow a lot and like to try different areas but now we have found this little place, we might not try anywhere else! Owners are so lovely and cant do enough, a little welcome pack in the room which was so handy as we forgot milk!! In a good area to walk the dog. cannot recommend enough! Cant wait to come back! Must have a car as getting around the Island is a must! Ideal stay when you are visiting family and friends like we do! Thanks to the owners for having us!
Very clean and quiet chalet very good weekend in sandown Isle of Wight would recommend a hoilday in sandown bay
10 minute amble down to the beach and Sandown for shops, etc. 5 minute drive to Aldi & Morrisons supermarkets. Lovely countryside and coast. Ventnor Botanic Gardens a must see. Old world thatched charm at Shanklin. Lots more places to visit. It was our first stay on the Isle of Wight. We will be back.
Accommodation was clean, well provisioned with free wifi and dog-friendly. It was a little small with no wardrobe space but was nevertheless a good place to stay. The owners, also dog-lovers, were friendly and helpful with good communication prior to our visit.
Amazing peaceful location. Right by the best dog friendly beaches made this our choice, so the whole family can enjoy. Everywhere on the Island is easily accessible and Sandown only a short stroll. The chalet is a total credit to the owners. Beautifully furnished and decorated, but its the care and thought in all those little things that make' Fossils Reach' exceptional. Everything is here and thought of. My self and my teenage daughter had a lovely break, and so did her Assistance dog Harley Quinn. So nice the owners are just completing a second Chalet 'Fossils Rest', a great opportunity for larger families to book both chalets and enjoy together. We will certainly be coming back ourselves.
Where do i start ! What a wonderful place to stay ! Everything practical had been thought of to help us enjoy our stay from a stairgate highchair comfy beds lovely welcome basket even a washing machine ! Great to get home without bags of washing to do to finishing touches like iow mugs and teatowels and lovely soft blankets were a great supprise after a windy morning on the ferry lovely and cosy but also bright and cool on the hot days. we arrived and let ourselfves in at 10 only to realise we were not supposed to be there until 2 ! Ian and dianne were as supprised as us when the found us and the children already in the chalet but they were very kind and couldnt do enough for us what lovely people ! We all had a brilliant stay and didnt want to leave we will definately be back to make more lovely memories xx
We have just returned from a week at Sandown Bay Isle of Wight. We stayed at 106 Fossils Reach Chalet. We were put off by chalet holidays about 10 years ago on the Isle of Wight. Damp, dark and smelly but this chalet has renewed our faith in this kind of accommodation. The Chalet was very bright and cheerful. We loved the seaside theme. The free wifi was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable even the adult size bunk beds. I am 6'1. Very welcoming after a days long walk. Our favorite walk was from the Holiday centre to Sandown bay and along to Shanklin bay, promenade all the way. No need for a car there is good bus service on the Island. Ian and Diane the owners were very welcoming. we had no problems with the Chalet but I am sure they would have helped us out if we did. The end of a perfect week. I do not normally write reviews but I felt I had to this time.
