Yet again a return to the Denewood has made our holiday a wonderful experience. Consistently excellent standards. As a family we did not go to the IOW in 2010 but it was just like visiting family visiting the Denewood. Thanks to all there and hope to see you again soon.

A lovely stay at the Denewood, we had a very comfortable large room, helpful, friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts! Unfortunately the locals were very noisy at night but the hotel is ideally situated for walking to the beach and the town. The showers need some attention as the water pressure was pitiful. However, we will come back again as it was fantastic value for money!

Very comfortable , friendly, family run hotel, positioned just off the bottom of Sandown high street and a few minutes walk to the seafront. Also convenient for buses if you want to explore the island by public transport
Little extras in the room e.g hair drier, tissues that you would usually associate with higher grade hotels. Rooms also include TV, clock radio, tea making facilities with a small pack of biscuits.
Previously have just stayed on bed and breakfast terms, this time sampled some of the evening meals on offer as well, there was a small choice of starters, main course and desserts, good home produced food, very filling.
Bar available in the evenings. Small enclosed patio/garden to sit out in, clothes line to hang out swim wear etc, also laundry facilities available

Booked at short notice to go on a family break, so was a bit apprehensive. However, throughout our three night stay we found all aspects of the hotel to be excellent. The room size was just right for the four of us, breakfast was lovely and all staff were all so welcoming and helpful. (It was also nice to have that womans touch in the room i.e nail file, cotton wool and cream!)
The location was very good too, especially with young children, as only a minutes walk from the beach, but to be honest I think wherever you stayed on the Isle of Wight would be good, as, if you are driving it only takes about 30 minutes to get to any tourist destination.
Overall great hotel to stay in

Very friendly welcoming family run guesthouse. Still advertising spa pool jacuzzi in August however it apparently hasn't worked since January 2010. Free wifi couldn't get a connection all week. Food was very nice however we did only have the breakfast as it seemed a little pricey for evening meals at £15.00 pp per meal. Would have liked a front view room yet had to settle for a side view family room with a great view of a derelict smashed up ex hotel, this of course was not the fault of the family who own the Denewood. Luckily for us we didn't get a front facing room as we were still kept awake on three seperate occassions by a household of scumbags from across the street who were out arguing and fighting with eachother untill the early hours and on one occassion 4 am with two of them unbelievably called Darren and Sharon as they seemed so proud to announce to anyone within earshot. Also had to park car in street opposite the scumbag house and halfway through the week found cones placed on the kerb apparently by the neighbours to prevent guesthouse residents parking in the street. Still parked there anyway. The Denewood is a very friendly and suitable guesthouse yet the council of sandown should be ashamed of themselves for letting the resort become so rundown.
