Reviewed 22 July 2013

Stayed at this hotel from the 17 July 2013 for 4 nights on an Alfa coach holiday.Hotel is in an excellent location on the beachfront opposite the pier.Room spacious with comfortable bed with a shower room, complete with tea/coffee facilities.Food excellent with good choices daily.Nice evening entertainment and the young lady who did the bingo was a star.Staff all very friendly. It also has a very nice sea view lounge to relax in at the front.A great place to stay.

The hotel was fine as was the food. We were served at the table. This was good for us. We prefer it to a buffet. It did take longer to be served this way though. We were staying at the Bayshore with Alfa Tours because of water damage at the Gracellie hotel in nearby Shanklin. It was a good value holiday - we did take the optional excursions at £39 a head as well as the two and a half standard excursion package - this meant we were doing something every day - including a theatre night at Shanklin. The hotel staff work really hard and we felt well looked after.

Room Tip: The sea view from your bedroom is worth it - even if you have to pay extra.

My friend and I have just returned from a lovely week away with Alfa at the Bayshore Hotel. The rooms were good, the food excellent and the entertainment was fun. We shall never forget the lovely Latvian girl who called the bingo every night - hilarious to say the least. All the staff were very helpful and eager to please. The coach driver was lovely. He knew the island like the back of his hand and was full of interesting stories on each of our wonderful trips out. Thank you, Alfa, we shall be back! For those who expect too much on these holidays, you gets what you pays for, don't forget. These breaks are exceptionally cheap and good value for money.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with stairs ask for one on the first floor. If you have trouble with pigeons and...

Lovely Staff very very helpful. Hotel has been refurbed so very good mattress in nice single room overlooking the beach. Excellent bathroom and shower. Service in the restaurant and bar was excellent. Very good value for money but the food really lets it down, especially at dinner. Better to have a basic breakfast and eat out at the many excellent restaurants nearby in the evening. Bingo and Riddles after dinner when we were there. Alfa tours - two trips were very good, albeit sometimes could have had more local information about places of interest. Clientele mostly elderly. Really lovely sandy beach right opposite - when the weather is good!! local bus to Newport nearby.
