We booked a bargain short stay at this hotel, the 2nd time we have stayed here. The service and food were excellent. We could not fault a thing. With a beauty therapy thrown in free and free ferry, this was all exceptional. We were upgraded to a spa room as part of the deal.Lovely.Well done to all the staff at Melville Hall. We will be back.

Room Tip: Worth asking for an upgraded spa room

Recently visited this hotel for a relaxed Girls at the Spa weekend and had a fabulous time, The venue was clean, friendly , welcoming with well trained staff with excellent dining. We both really enjoyed the detox tanks available in the spa which are inclusive as part of your hotel access and the outside hot tub which made the weekend even more of a treat, Superb value highly recommended. I am a regular at Champney , but this hotel offers a cheaper and better alternative, Treat yourself, I certainly plan to go go again.

Good value short break booked via Travel Zoo. First class food and excellent service provided by very friendly staff.Nice spa facilities supported by friendly staff. Bedroom and bathroom layout a little quirky ( steps and sliding door to bathroom in room 321 and certainly to be avoided by anyone with a mobility problem).
Would be happy to return and to recommend to others but would be tempted to book a superior room.

Room Tip: Consider booking a siperior room

Reception was very efficient and we were taken up to the room with little fuss.

The room was small and a tad dated, with a small bathroom, but it was clean and tidy and every thing worked.

The food was nice, with plenty of choice, but the service was incredibly rapid, with three courses served in under 45 minutes. The second night , we tried to slow things down, but still served start to finish in under an hour. Still, plenty of time to drink in the nice, but quite expensive bar.

The hotel is in a nice location, close to the rail station for getting around and a nice downhill walk to the sea in about 15 minutes.

I did not use the spa, but it appears nice through the window.

The outside pool looks nice, too cold to go in, so I don't think it was heated, but it is an ok size for having a dip, or just to sit round.

All in all a nice break, and the deal for two nights with food was very good value.

Would definately stay there again as the IOW is lovely.
