We spent 4 Nights at this hotel, it was booked for a large group so we were the only guests, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff couldnt have been more helpfull or friendly.

The barman is a gem and would do all he could to make our stay enjoyable, the waiting staff were very attentive and extremely efficient, the food was excellent, from breakfast cooked to orde, right to evening meal with a very exciting menu making it difficult to choose.

The rooms were very clean when we arrived, but the soaps & Shampoo were not replenished during our stay, although the reception gladly gave us more when we requested them.
The room also had a spa bath.
There is a indoor and outdoor pool although we didnt have the time to enjoy them,
The Spa and detox area seemed very popular with the local people.

We have returned again for a great value short break relaxing holiday. The ground floor rooms were ideal for
older people whilst the indoor pool/jaccuzi suited the
younger one(s)
The inclusive ferry crossing made the journey from the Midlands so easy.

Our 2 night stay was wonderful. Our room was spotless with plenty tea/coffee etc, even wine glasses provided. The restaurant decor is bright and spacious, the menu comprehensive and the staff really helpful regarding my gluten free diet. Free beverages in the lounge in the afternoon, water coolers everywhere and an atmosphere of calm in the lounge in the evening that made the end of day a real pleasure. The spa is small but was quiet and how lovely to go from our bedroom to the spa in our robes. The front garden was exceptionally well manicured. It is a short walk to the strand. Ideal for couples.

Great value for money short break. Good 'no hassle' booking included ferry at times to suit us. Comfortable room, and helpful staff. Exceeded expectations all round, but particularily in meals of high quality for 'all in' price.

Will return!

As a member of the Crash Box and Classic Car Club we took over the Merville Hall and Utopia Spa hotel for four nights. The hotel itself was in a good situation with good parking facilities. Excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly, cheerful and always ready to please everyone. The food was excellent and the hotel provided nice touches, such as free tea/coffee and biscuits and daily newspapers in their lounge.

Some bedrooms needed a little updating but that said they were clean. Dining room, bar and lounges were of a very good standard.

The service and co-operation I was given prior to the holiday, from the Manager, was extremely helpful and he was always understanding and appreciative of what is involved in organising a group holiday.

We booked this trip with Travelzoo and had no idea what the hotel would be like. Having looked at the reviews left during March we were a bit concerned about wat we would find. How wrong we were to be worried. The hotel staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent the breakfast were freshly cooked, no buffet which can mean dry bacon and solid eggs! There was a wide choice at dinner and it was well cooked and presented and the wine waiter very helpful. The room was a bit small but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. We had a very good time and hope to go back sometime.
