Description: We our a cosy little Pub/Restaurant that serves good wholesome traditional pub grub. Local produce is key to our cooking and use it where ever possible. We cater for all kinds of dietary requirements so just ask one of our friendly members of staff who will advise on our options. Although it says in our description 'Vegan options' we do not offer as many choices as the heading would lead you to believe. It is something I have tried to change but in vain. We do our best to cater for all so if you are Vegan please say when booking and we can discuss with you our options or create something for you if given enough time. We do love your furry four legged friends but when booking it is important to mention it to us so we can seat you accordingly. Unfortunately we are very small so our toilets do not have baby change facilities and it would also be tricky to get a wheelchair in them. Apart from the toilets we are great for wheelchair access with tarmac car pack and no steps to negotiate on entering if sat in our top restaurant. Jane, Richard, Becky and the team look forward to serving you soon.

Tried the Bembridge crab and prawn mornay from the specials board. Gorgeous! Came with huge warm homemade crusty roll and a very tasty salad. Very filling, only just had room for dessert !
OH had the Fish and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed.

went the other week and was a bit disapointed, the food was nothing special and a bit on the slow side coming out which was odd as there was only one other table in that night

Dear Peter,

We are sorry to read your poor review of our establishment. We do try our best to please as many as we can but we do realise that we are not for everyone. Hopefully you will try us again some day and we can change your mind.

Visited The Yarbridge yesterday for lunch to celebrate a birthday after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed!! Great welcome from Richard and we sat by the wood burner choosing our meal from an excellent menu. Liver and bacon - my favourite and the chicken and leek pudding - delicious. Puds good too. Had lovely chat with the young "Foxy" lady (Richard's young sister) as I paid the very reasonable bill. A great family atmosphere and will certainly be back when we next visit the Island and it will be recommended to our friends.

We visited the Island for the day and booked here for lunch on my birthday. The wood burning stove was fired up and we enjoyed a drink before it prior to delicious food. My partner had the lamb's liver and I chose the chicken and leek pudding - I hadn't had suet pudding for years and I was not disappointed!! Delicious puds following, and the added touch of separate mini gravy jugs (with main course) and custard jugs was lovely!
The effort put in to the food, interior and customer service by the delightful owners has definitely paid off - and I really appreciated the extra large glass of wine for my birthday!!! Will definitely be back for more............... !!

Went here because of good reviews on tripadvisor, and they were correct. Nice choice of beers and lovely warm woodburner to welcome you. Nice varied menu, my partner chose the Bembridge crab and prawn mornay, which was absolutely delicious, as i was told about ten times, and i had the lamb shank with mash and veg. Perfect for the cold weather, beautifully cooked and very tasty. For puds we shared a bread and butter pudding with custard, made with brioche, and it was big and gorgeous. Very friendly owners, young and trying very hard, would thoroughly recommend for proper home cooked food at a reasonable price. Will definately be back.
