On busy evenings it does take a little while longer for your food and customers are warned as they walk through the door, just know we are really sorry we couldnt get to you in time, if you had raised the issue at the time i would have arrange something for you

Kind regards

staying in area we thought we would give this place a whirl
we walked in and were unsure of what to do, wait to be seated or just grab a table so we asked at the bar and were told to just choose a table and waitress would find us, I am not a fan of this method as you can get overlooked for a while...I like to be shown to my seat and informed of the soup of the day and plus what is not available.
we chose a table and waited to order our food, the place didn't appear exceptionally busy but looked like there had been a rush on by state of the uncleaned tables.
our waitress got us in her sights and was helpful enough but it was an irritation when the item my partner chose was off menu and then when we both chose another identical item she returned to tell us that was off menu also so we had to choose again. We had no beef with what we had chosen to eat, the steaks were cooked perfectly and succulent and the food arrived promptly but it seemed like the place was just lacking a bit of impressiveness....the girl who served us was polite and helpful and I felt quite sorry for her at times having to work in such a disorganised environment
we wouldn't return, infact I enjoyed my meal eating experience in the morrisons café next door the following evening much more!

We visited here on a recent holiday, and was promptly seated by the friendly waiting staff and had drinks ordered. We decided to try the 3 course menu for £10 each. We ordered the Garlic Mushrooms and Prawn Cocktail to start, for mains we had the Lasagne and the Rotisserie Chicken and for puds, Apple Pie and Cream and Melt in the Middle Chocolate pudding. Everything that was brought to the table was cooked well and tasted great. We both thought that this was fantastic value for money, and would not hesitate to return next time we're on the island.

Stopped by here on a rainy afternoon (26th June) found our table and ordered a couple of light meals - was advertised as family friendly dining - well the chicken ciabatta was full of bones and gristle - there were also a couple of bones in the chicken in the jacket potato - when we complained the girl went off to find the manager was gone probably 10 minutes and grudgingly agreed that they would deduct the ciabatta from the bill - no apology - only meal we have ever refused to pay for - unbelievable!

Holidaying in a local holiday park resort, we decided to go to the merrie garden for dinner as it is just down the road. When we arrived, there were no indications of whether or not to wait to be seated and when we asked the man on the bar he gave us an obnoxious reply. However we were then helped by a lovely lady member of staff. Once sat, we ordered drinks and they arrived fairly quickly. We then ordered our food - note we are a family of 6 with 4 children- and it was before 7pm, when kids dinners are free. It took 1 hour and a half for our food to arrive, after we had to ask 3 members of staff when it would be ready. When it finally did arrive, the member of staff rudely told us that she has said there was a 45 minute wait for food- but we had not been told that, merely rushed into a table in the corner and left to it, one of the meal orders were wrong, however this was soon rectified, by a member if staff who brought the extra chicken we had ordered on a single plate, which meant we had to prepare the chicken ourselves to go into the meal as it should have been in the kitchen. The food was lovely, no fault in the taste or quality of the food, but service was terrible and they still charged us for the kids meals as it didn't arrive until after 7pm, although we had ordered before this time. We were not impressed and will not be returning on future holidays.
