We have just got back from our stay at the Belmore with Margaret & Mike and what can I say. The room was beautiful, breakfast, delicious but by far the most wonderful part of our stay was...... Margaret & Mike. They were so warm & friendly. Although they have only recently taken charge their knowledge of the area was faultless. Somewhere to eat? Somewhere to shop? Somewhere to just stroll and take in the ambience? No problem. All questions were answered and everywhere suggested seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. Magic

Thank You Margaret and Michael. The Isle of Wight was a lovely place but staying with you both at your lovely establishment made the trip special

We have stayed at this B&B for the last six years now. This year it has been taken over by new people and although we missed Alison and Jim very much, I am happy to say, Mick and Margaret have kept up the standard we were used at this friendly guest house. They were friendly and helpful and take time to talk to you each day, we feel we know them now. The breakfasts were lovely, choice of cooked or continental and also fresh fruit, toast and cereals.
The rooms are clean, with free wi fi, tea and coffee making and complimentary biscuits. Toiletries and towels are also provided.

Room Tip: Only one family room so book early.

we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived, Margaret & Michael helped us so much with all sorts of local info. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms are spotlessly clean.
we will be back if they will have us :-)

I picked this place pretty much by random. I had decided at the last minute to see the Isle of Wight. I have never been to this part of the England before. So I found this online and decided to take a change. I feel like I've struck gold. What a wonderful little place.

The owners recently bought it. They are very nice couple. Despite the fact that I arrived late, after 10pm, they were very gracious. The room was perfect, and had everything I needed.

The location turned out to be excellent. I took the ferry from Portsmouth, and then the train over to Sandown. A 2 block walk straight down from the train Sandown station and you are here. From here is is a block to the beach. Within a block is High Street with some grocery stores and restaurants.

The best part is the owners. They chat with you in the morning at breakfast (which the wife cooks herself). They gave me all sorts of advice and seem very genuine in their interest of their guests. They themselves are interesting to talk to. He is a retired policeman, and her a school teacher.

Here was a nice benefit. Decent WiFi! Finally! After two weeks of dealing with stupid WiFi policies at hotels all over England, this place was refreshingly simple. No device limits. No time limits. No throttling. Just plain old simple Internet over WiFi like you expect at home. Fast enough to get everything I needed done. I can't tell you how happy that made me.

I only spend two night here. I had to head back to London to work. But I will be back!

the belmore has recently been taken over by new owners margaret and mick, they were extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I cannot fault our stay in any way the breakfast was the best i have ever had and i have stayed in a lot of B&B's. What really made the stay is they welcomed you with a fresh pot of tea or coffee and were more tan happy to make us a drink when we came back in the evening. The guesthouse is lovely in a beautiful street nice peaceful stay, had no trouble with noise from street and just 2 mins to the sea front
would definitely stay here the best B&B in sundown if not on the island!!
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's day and we had a very pleasant stay. We were greeted by a very polite gentleman that gave us a quick tour of the place and told us a couple of expectations they hold for their guests and what they offer to their guests. We were then showed to our room. The room was very nicely presented and absolutely spot-less, not one spec of dust or dirt. The room was bright although slightly cramped. This is understandable due to the included ensuite, however. The bed was very comfy and the sheets were soft and clean, like new! The next morning, we were a little late to breakfast but the kind hotelier's wife cooked ours, as she did everyones, fresh and to our specification. It was a very nice and clean meal. Overall the stay was very pleasant although upon reflection, I would say the price is a little steep but all in all, it was reasonable. Would definitely recommend and would like to say thank you very much to the owners!

The guesthouse is beautiful and very well located. The room was clean and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. Most importantly, the owners were kind, sweet, informative and very hospitable. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend our Isle of Wight vacation. We will return!!!
