Just got back from long weekend at the parkbury booked via National Holidays.
Hotel a little dated, but our room was clean, with a daily maid service, and flat screen TV, good size room, with en-suite, with shower above the bath. Stay was half board, breakfast and evening meal were good, although service was a little slow at times. Good location for town centre and beach etc. would I stay here again......yes but the Ritz it's not !!

Room Tip: Room 8 was good, on ground floor

Very pleased with our four night stay in the Parkbury hotel. No complaints except that the parking was a bit limited. Would visit Sandown again. Really enjoyed our trip to the I of W!. The staff were helpful and friendly. The request for a quiet room was granted. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the beach. Very central and suitable for a short stay. If you want luxury go to a 5 star hotel. The amenities in the Parkbury are basic!

Room Tip: Request the type of room you require when you place your booking We asked for a quiet room and got i...

Good value nice food nice service
It's old world b&b with no frills. Hotel is tired but is certainly not run down. It's got character. Sandown is typical English seaside resort. Ice cream, fish and chips and purple rinses! Enjoy

i'm sorry but i have write and say: not a very nice experience as was quite embarrassed for the staff who had to bring our food to the table which was not at all appealing and very low standard of produce, each and every main meal was the same which i would not expect from proffessional chefs ... and a business such as hospitality. We felt the staff had to cover up an awfull lot which is unfair and must have made them feel uncomfortable..

The swimming pool was covered with no loungers for outside as the weather was nice would have been a bonus to me

i work hard for my breaks and my money and felt let down .. other than that the Isle of Wight was lovely and our coach courier Ann was very proffessional and helpfull and made our holiday pleasant

Very bad experience with our evening meal, decor not good, and pool out of action, staff all three of them were very embarrassed, during our 5 day stay. Would definitely not recommend.will be writing to the coach company.

It was my first visit to the Parkbury hotel and I would just like to say that it was magnificent, well worth the money and it definitely made the holiday. The staff were ever so helpful nothing was a bother to them. The theme of the hotel is nautical and I loved the oldie worldie decor,a trip down memory lane to how things used to be.Very large open spaces to loose yourself in and so peaceful. Will definitely be going back soon and for a longer break.

I took my mother for a three day break to the Isle of Wight with National Holidays and we had a lovely time. The hotel is very quaint, a step back in time, with a nautical theme, the wood panelling is from the S S Aquitania. Some say it is tired and dated, but we had two lovely bright single rooms, the food was good and the service excellent. There is seating outside on the lawn, perfect for a summers evening, and the gardens are kept very neat and tidy. It s a short walk down to the beach and pier (up hill a bit on the way back).
The manager (Joanna) and her assistant (Sarah) were very helpful and friendly, as were all the staff, if you needed any thing you only had to ask.
The entertainment on Saturday night was a singer called Mac and he was very good, catering for all ages.
We had a good weekend and can recommend the hotel, I would stay there again if in Sandown.
