“A Wonderful Guest House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 October 2012

We started our tour of Scotland by staying our first two nights at Heathpark House and it was the best decision we made for our holiday, the guest house is at a very high standard of quality both in furnishings and services. Lorraine welcomed us very warmly and was very keen to ensure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable ensuring she adapted to our needs which was particularly appreciative as I (Carmel) have walking difficulties and walk with sticks. Lorraine ensured I had comfortable chairs to sit in and checked for any other needs she could help with. The location is fantastic, it's close to scone palace and Glamis castle which we were able to visit, Blairgowrie is a lovely little quaint village with beautiful scenery, in fact we enjoyed it so much we came back to stay there on the last night of our holiday as we'd enjoyed it so much. We are very happy to recommend this beautiful guest house to anyone the breakfasts were gorgeous along with he hospitality. Thank you very much Lorraine. John & Carmel

Arriving at Heathpark is like arriving at the home of a friend. Lorraine welcomed us and we were shown to our room which was beautifully fitted out. The welcome tray with variety of teas, coffees etc. was much appreciated and the power shower in the bathroom was fantastic.

My husband tackled the full Scottish breakfast which had everything, while I wasn't so brave and went for the Continental breakfast, starting with the fresh Perthshire straweberries and raspberries.

I think the fact that this is our third visit to Heathpark speaks for itself. We will certainly be back again!

Just back from a lovely weekend at Heathpark house. The guest house is fantastic. It is a lovely big house and the king size room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Lorraine was really nice and made us very welcome. The breakfast was amazing and we would definately go back if we were in the area.

Heathpark House Apartment is a high quality one bedroom self catering apartment attached to the main house and B&B. It is totally self contained with its own door, parking and patio area. It is extremely well equipped and bedding and towels are of the highest quality.

It is well situated on one of the main roads into Blairgowrie which is good for touring and catching a bus into Perth or Dundee from right outside. However that was also a downside for me as I prefer somewhere a bit more remote and with less traffic going past. I also found it a bit too far to walk into the centre of town, which had been the initial reason for the choice of location.

The garden is lovely with old trees and red squirrels running round and a tawny owl calling at night. The big trees do make the rooms rather dark, with the large kitchen diner being by far the lightest room. This could be enhanced by a couple of comfy chairs in front of the kitchen windows and moving the dustbins to improve the view from there.

Lorraine was very helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed and was always warm enough. I would be happy to recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to stay near the centre of Blairgowrie and would book again myself should I return to that area.

This well-maintained guest house is set in large secluded gardens. Large, light bedroom, comfortable king bed, in-room TV, coffee maker, modern bathroom with constant hot water, efficient central heating, excellent cooked breakfast, drying room for wet clothes (essential in Scotland this year, which has had one of the wettest summers in recent memory - but at least it means the grass is green)

Heathpark House is an absolute "gem" dating back to 1837, but don't let this fool you into thinking your entering anything but sumptious designed and furnished rooms. We stayed in the Wilman King Ensuite Room and were delighted by the quality of the bed, linen and facilities. Breakfast is excellent and nothing seems to be too much trouble for our hosts. This is a great find and perfect location for exploring, there is even a self contained apartment for longer stayers. Don't miss this place if you're looking for a perfect peaceful nights rest and a great breakfast.
