While travelling to the Highlands recently we stayed for one night at this “gem” of a Guest House and enjoyed our stay so much that we booked for another two nights on our return journey home.

The Hermitage Guest House is superb, and is within easy access of the station for those arriving by train or easy to find if travelling by car, as was our case. We had the Premium room which is an extremely beautiful large room with a lovely view of the garden and a spectacular view of the Cairngorm mountains. The room was extremely well-equipped, with everything from tea and coffee making facilities through to TV’s and DVD players, with a great selection of films, not to mention the double bed which was really comfortable. The en-suite facilities were top class with quality bath towels, toiletries etc.

Our breakfast was excellent each morning and was freshly cooked to our request from a menu that contained such a superb choice; there was even pancakes on the menu!

The owners, Pauline and Andrew made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for them, they really made both of our stays most enjoyable and we would highly recommend this Guest House to anyone.

Just returned back to London from Kingussie and again stayed at the Hermitage.
The whole 3 night stay was faultless and found myself sitting in the lounge the day of departure thinking of ways to delay my return to London and to stay put for a bit longer.

You will not find a couple more accomodating than Andrew and Pauline from the minute you walk through the door till the time you leave.

The place is immaculatly decorated and spotless, warm and comfortable.

I had the best 3 nights sleep too.

Cannot wait for my next visit,

This is a beautiful B & B! The room immaculate with a very comfortable bed and big soft fluffy towels in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. Pauline will even make you pancakes!! Andrew and Pauline made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. After a rather wet ride out they dried all our bike gear and there was very secure parking for the bike. An ideal location for touring about and we will definately be back to stay.

I love this b&B. The quality of the rooms and furnishings cannot be faulted. Andrew and Pauline are excellent hosts. The breakfast is very very good indeed. The place is spotless. I stayed here when crossing scotland on the the great outdoors challenge in May and found it a most welcome respite.

I wouldn't have found this place by chance as I was directed here from an earlier enquiry that was full. A great find and a warm welcome. The room was lovely and the GH was in a back road so was quite quiet.
Breakfast was good with fresh fruits and plenty of other good things on the table.
I would certainly stay again if passing.
I wish all GHs were like this.

Andrew and Pauline were wonderful so very helpful, our room was beautiful over looking the back garden which was so peaceful and beautiful. We were there for 3 days and felt that we got to know them very well. Everything was so clean and breakfast was wonderful. They were so helpful ever willing to do our laundry. The locatuion was great.
Would stay there again.

There are some B&Bs where you feel you are the first people to stay there and this is definitely one of them. Andrew and Pauline could not have been more welcoming and the house and rooms were perfect. Taste and cleanliness were top notch and you are sent on your way with a great breakfast. This is an excellent location for exploring the Cairngorms and surrounding areas.
