“Lacking in Highland Hospitality”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

A very nice looking little cafe, thoughtfully decorated and very clean indeed. The food was really good and well presented. However, the lady behind the counter was not very hospitable and a tense atmosphere ensued. The tall man who was doing the cooking was much better in this respect but he was mostly kept busy in the kitchen. Have to add that the "one napkin per customer" note on the counter is totally unacceptable and quite embarrassing.

“Good value but lacking a welcoming atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013

When I entered the café (which was empty of customers at the time) and approached the counter the female proprietor(?) ignored me until she had fiddled around replacing items of crockery, etc. There was no welcome and I was simply asked what I wanted which was a great pity because the food was good and the prices reasonable. I would not return.

“Nice coffee and fantastic cake.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2013 via mobile

Stopped here for coffee and cake. All cakes home made and very tasty. Coffee good too. Didn't eat the cooked breakfast but it does look good and apparently all comes from a local butcher. Lots of other good looking good options. Very friendly owners.

“Great cake!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2013

We stopped here because we could leave our bikes outside and keep an eye on them while we had lunch. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. I had a toastie and my husband had the soup. The cake which followed was very fresh and yummy. The hot chocolate was good too. It's a very welcoming café.
