We went as a group of 7. 2 grandmothers, 2 mums and 3 children under 5. Pinetree lodge was immaculately clean, well equipped and spacious. The children had plenty of freedom and being in such close proximity of the farm animals was great. First thing in the morning they went out to see the pigs and Muffin the Shetland pony. From our veranda we had a fabulous view of the countryside with the sea in the distance - stunning! Tony and Kathy (the owners) made us extremely welcome and chatted whenever we saw them. Being able to buy the farm's own beef and pork products and homemade food made life a lot easier for us. The whole place had a warm and relaxed air about it - I will certainly be booking to go back.

The cottage we stayed in was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. On our request there was a highchair and travel cot provided, which was incredibly helpful. The washer/dryer & dishwasher came in very handy too!
The owners were friendly and obliging. The location is great for visiting wollacombe beach, lee and ilfracombe.
As it was on a farm we had hoped for more of a 'farm' experience but its not terribly big. The owner told us he plans to make more of that side of things in future years. As it was, we were shown around the sheep, chickens, pond and tractors and collected some eggs.
There is a really well-equipped games room with table football, pingpong, pool and toys for younger kids and an outdoor play area with a hoop, goal, slides and swings. Thoughtfully there are also nets, buckets and spades to borrow if you want to visit the beach.
An excellent place to visit with children and I look forward to taking my little one back when he's old enough to appreciate it!

We have just had a 5 day break at lower Campscott farm. We found it via trip advisor and all the reviews were positive. Having now been there I can understand why. We stayed at Fir Tree Lodge. It is for four people having two bedrooms one of which is ensuite. There is plenty of room and the kitchen is fully equipped. We had a very warm welcome and this was highlighted by the cream tea in the lodge. We had a little tour of the farm with the owner and collected fresh eggs. The beef and pork is excellent as is the tea room. I would thoroughly recommend it and we will return.

We came to Devon on a surfing holiday with some friends in May 2013, our daughter was 10 months old at the time and we stayed in the Stable cottage. It was the most splendid stay; the cottage was so lovely and clean, I was happy to place my daughter down on the floor to crawl around right from the start.. there was plenty room for all our belongings, incl wetsuits and equipment and generally we made ourselves feel at home very quickly. The kitchen was big enough for a little gathering, and lovely and bright in the mornings for a good cooked breakfast at the table. Being on the farm was very nice, there is so much wildlife about aside from the farm animals and we were made to feel very welcome on the grounds by the owners.
I can't wait until our next holiday to Devon and Lee Bay and we will surely be getting in touch with Tony to rebook!

Staying at in the Granary Cottage at Lower Campscott Farm has been absolutely delightful. The property had plenty of room for four adults and two small children. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from Tony with an excellent tour. A delicious cream tea awaited us in the fridge too. The site itself is full of activity a traditional working farm with lovely animals to enjoy we took an especial liking to "Howard" the goose and his ducks! There is also a hand built sturdy wooden climbing frame slide and swings which the children were constantly playing on. There is a hard court area with a football goal and inside is a games room with table tennis and pool tables, along with plenty of books to read. For those needing Wifi the connection is accessible and good in the Games Room. View wise Lower Campscott is very pretty looking down the hill into the valley where Lee beach is located and it is possible to walk down a nature trail to Lee in around 20 minutes. The nice thing is Lower Campscott's location; it takes around 5-8 minutes drive, to get to away from the main Woolacombe road so you really feel in a sanctuary away from the main hussle and bussle of life. During our stay nothing was too much trouble for Tony providing the family with a tour of the farm to meet the animals helping with directions and things to see, through to tips on good running routes.

We really enjoyed our stay thank you and see you again soon!

This was a perfect holiday. The log cabin was spotless, the farm is in a fantastic location and we received a very warm welcome from the owners. We arrived to homemade scones, clotted cream and jam. The cabin was very well equipped, great bed, good showers, TV, DVD player, bedding, full kitchen with everything you need. Outside we had a lovely seated area and could shut the gate so the dog could wander outside. There is a great games room with a pool table, children's area, table tennis and table football. The farm has a special walk that takes you round the land and there are countless footpaths. You can see the sea from the farm and there is a path that leads you onto the sea front. The village of Lee is lovely, very quiet with a fantastic pub with very good food. It was very reasonably priced and was fresh from the garden. So good we ate there several evenings! We will definitely return and thank you to Tony at the farm, a lovely host.

2nd visit and would definitely come back again (and again!). Ideally located for sightseeing and coastal walks. A tea shop and farm shop has opened on site since I was last there and is a welcome and delicious addition, can highly recommend the scones and sausages! The owners are very welcoming and helpful, with a wide knowledge of the local area so they can help with any questions you may have, although the welcome packs in the accommodation have a thorough list of local attractions. The lodges are clean, comfortable and well equipped, perfect for a short break.
