We've just returned from our week long holiday with our little boy and we couldn't have asked for better. Lovely, friendly and welcoming place. The cottage was perfect for us, lovely and cosy, clean and tidy without lots of clutter. We're already working out when we can head back! Thank you so much!

Fabulous Victorian hotel, within walking distance of the town and quay. Very peaceful and quiet with lovely grounds. We were on a cycle tour and there was undercover cycle parking, would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing week at Magnolia Cottage in the grounds of The Darnley Hotel. The cottage is basic, clean and comfortable, equipped with all we needed for our stay and its garden and wildlife is a delight - the squirrel gives non-stop entertainment! The beds were particularly comfortable with spotless linen and towels. Overlooking Ilfracoombe, this was a great base within easy walking distance of the town and the fabulous local walks and Tunnels Beaches - we hardly used our car but walked and walked! The delicious jam sponge cake and the other essential items waiting for us were very much appreciated - a lovely touch - thank you.
