We have just returned from our 2 night stay with Ann and Hugh at the Acorn Lodge in Ilfracombe.. This B & B is in an ideal location close to the harbour, shops and bars. It is spotlessly clean and comfortable with a homely feel and easy atmosphere. Although this B & B has everything you need for a great stay it is Ann and Hugh who make this a great choice of accommodation as they are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, funny and highly likeable hosts. They also offer a great breakfast with a variety of breakfast foods which are cooked to order. A nice touch is when you arrive Hugh will serve you with a free pot of tea and a sample of his great Devon Cream Tea which was absolutely delicious. Well done Acorn Lodge. Will strongly recommend this lovely B & B to anyone. Ann & Frank

Ann, Hugh, Carl and Uri made our stay comfortable and fun. Would certainly stay there again. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Position perfect to explore Ilfracombe and many lovely walks. Suzanne and Peter July 2013

I was made very welcome by Hugh and Ann who have a wealth of knowledge about the area. Close to the harbour, restraunts, and buses and a great base for walking. Will stay again.
Overall very relaxing. Lovely breakfasts.

Have just returned from a 3 night break ( 2nd visit ), we cannot fault this bed & breakfast, it is impeccably clean & comfortable and the hosts, Hugh & Ann give you a warm welcome. Plenty of choice for breakfast but the full English is recommended. It has a great location, within walking distance to the harbour and the high street. Both Hugh & Ann are knowledgeable of the area and can recommend walks & places of interest. There is a varied clientele both from UK and Europe.
