We went here for a week in the Easter holidays and stayed in the Partridge and Pheasant. We took 9 of us. Our family of 4 stayed in one of the 200 year old cottages. The overall experience was amazing as the location where the farm was based included many beaches, villages and attractions. The farm itself had their own beach so you didn't have to go far to get to one. To get to the beach you had to walk over a field of sheep. The sheep were not bothered by fellow beach goers. The farm was amazing not only for its views but the animals themselves. The owners were very friendly they greeted us with scrumptious cakes and also Jeremy did an animal feeding event every morning which included feeding the Alpacas, holding baby chicks and even being allowed to take an egg home. The farm also had an orchard which had play facilities for younger ones. I can't wait to go back!!

Thank you for your review and we are so pleased you made good use of our beach and enjoyed meeting the animals. It is amazing how quickly those chicks have grown and turned in to fully fledged hens and cockerels - they are out and about now enjoying the sunshine! We hope to see you all again.

We've just got back from a lovely Easter weekend (3 nights) at Widmouth Farm cottages. The location is stunning. The cottages are charming. The welcome is warm (cupcakes on arrival and Liz brought Easter eggs round for the children on Easter Sunday morning). The animal feeding with Jeremy was extremely popular- all the kids loved it. And a pleasant private beach too, which was just a short trek across the fields. I grew up in a rural area but am raising my family in the suburban Midlands, so I am so pleased that they have had a good dose of country life and fresh air! We were all so sad to leave. I had to promise the kids that we'd go back next Easter!! From talking to other guests we soon realised that many of them were on their second or third holiday there. I highly recommend Widmouth Farm for families with young children. We'll definitely be going back. Thank you Liz and Jeremy!

Thank you so much for the review and especially for pointing out that Watermouth Castle is now in easy walking distance as the coastal footpath has been extended, so it is now safe all the way!
We do hope to see you again. Kind regards, Jeremy & Elizabeth

We have just come back from a wonderful short break at Widmouth farm cottages. We stayed in woodpecker which is lovely and spacious its more modern and spacious than the other accommodation but we stayed in a cottage last year and enjoyed both equally so it depends what you are looking for. Woodpecker had a lovely kitchen plenty of room, was well equipped and lovely and warm. The owners are extremely friendly and ameniable. The children and adults alike enjoyed feeding the animals on the daily morning feeding sessions, there is a lovely private beach and picturesque walks within the farm. Our second visit and sure to return again would recommend to anyone especially those with young children.

We stayed in Partridge Cottage, 4 adults and two young children (7 & 3). The cottage is warm has enough space and is well equipped. Its an old farm cottage which is comfortable.
The access to the beach is a treat and its a smallholding so seeing the animals is always good.
Utilty room is well equipped to wash and dry things quickly. Owners very welcoming and helpful.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine. Downstairs bunk room great for children - maybe an addition of a pull out bed in...

We have just returned from a 5 night break at Widmouth Farm Cottages, we had a wonderful time spent at Woodpecker Lodge. The accommodation was excellent, well equipped & very spacious. Our hosts, Jeremy & Elizabeth were welcoming and helpful. Feeding the animals was enjoyed by all. Despite the changeable weather it was amazing surroundings & would love to return again in the Spring/Summer.
Coastal walks enjoyed & plenty to do in local area.
Last but not least, we were welcomed with complinentary homemade mince pies, clotted cream & mulled wine.... plus Christmas decorations!! Certainly exceeded our expectations.
Would return.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and obviously had the 'right clothes' with you for the changeable, sometimes stormy weather whilst you were here (I think it is the Scandinavians who say: " there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!"). We look forward to welcoming you again in Spring or Summer. The primroses & wild violets on the coastal footpath are spectacular in spring, followed by the bluebells of early summer, so I am sure you will enjoy one or the other.

We've stayed at Widmouth farm numerous times and love it. Our accommodation was spacious, modern, clean and well equipped.

It's great to be able to take our dogs and enjoy the fabulous scenery and coastal walks.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much bother.

Overall a lovely place to have a holiday, we'd highly recommend Widmouth farm whether you have a family, want to take dogs or just want a quiet break by the sea.
